1. I had this album as a surfer in Calif. - This is a great album. Mine got turned into a potatoe chip by the sun while sitting in my B&N car record player one day surfing the Huntington Beach pier. I was a jazz enthusiast at the time. And, went to the Lighthouse in Hermosa Beach often. There was a rumor at the time that this album was performed in studio by some well known jazz talent to make money. Since the surf sound was just coming out of nowhere and was very profitable. The quality of the music is so good. You just have to wonder. I never learned the back story. Uncle Sam cut my hair off and i moved on.

2. This is REAL surf music! - Real surf music is instramental, maybe with an occasional set of lyrics. No beach boys, no jan and dean,no frankie and anette, this album is way up there with dick dale, the ventures, the challengers, the surfari's, the bel airs, etc... this album captures the true surf sound of the 's with plenty of wet reverb twanging! take it from me, a surf guitarist, the sentinals big surf album will make you want to get out there and soul surf all ten on the nose! a true california surf band! i rate this band a stars only cause dick dale rules and is a star god!

1. Phantastic Tiki Pop! - Why am I the first to review this excellent disc of contemporary popxotica? Perhaps the title and the band's name send mixed signals (Is it a Halloween disc or tiki disc?) and casual tiki fans just haven't caught on to it? Regardless, the music speaks for itself and stands on par with the listenable fun of the Tikiyaki Orchestra, Don Tiki, Tiki Joe's Ocean, and other purveyors of modern tiki/exotica. A must-have for your collection.

1. Surfin And Rockin - I bought this as an LP (white vinyl) and also this download, to burn a CD. So now I have it in my living room, car, and PC. Jason Lee rocks his surf. This album is like a sampler of ocean surf, crime, spy, tiki, spag western, and horror-ish. Love the sound of his Gretsch White Falcon. His lessons on youtube are fun, too. BTW -- the band is tight and bumpin', too. I hope they release more stuff. Oh -- and haters have this thing about his look -- it is a visual of his music, dummies. Highly recommended.

2. Guitar fans, you owe it to yourself to own this record - If you can't see them live, this is the next best thing. I'm relatively new to the surf genre (less than years), but this is one of my favorite records in that genre. There's a hint of darkness (Snake Eyes has a bit of a Bauhaus in it), but mostly it's stellar playing and catchy hooks. I would listen to Rod Swirling and Creepy Crawly on repeat, were it not for the rest of the record that I'd be missing. Get it.
