1. It’s On Repeat! - Really diggin this entire bluesy, rockin’ album. Usually I skip over a song or two when listening to an album, but not this time; I hit ‘play’ and listen straight through. Great guitar licks by both Megan and Rebecca, and their signature tight vocal harmonies make this album a pleasure to listen to. Might be their best album yet!!

2. Applause All Around… - Love these two. Such talented musicians…from the swampy, Deep Stays Down, to Rebecca’s vocal prowess on Might As Well Be Me, it hits on all cylinders. And Meghan’s slide…without a doubt, one of the best players out there. Her intonation is spot on and such a compliment to the vocal harmonies. Yes, and they are even better live, imagine that! Brava ladies….well done!

3. Can’t wait for the rest of the album! - This album shows an immense amount of growth, especially in the song writing. These new songs are layered and sophisticated. I love their early songs, but this is heads and tails above songs like Trouble in Mind. Again, I love the early stuff, but this is beyond.

1. Lovin' Me Some Larkin Poe - Beach Bottle Blonde, Hard Time Killing Floor & Good and Gone really showcase these girls True Love of the Blues which is why I love them so much and not just because I love good looking women but because Rebbecca's voice and Meghans slide guitar are exceptional in this genre to say the least.

1. K. Scott Martin - Wilco, Sonvolt, Tweedy, U. Tupelo, and of course, the pride of the Midwest and Missouri, this band will always be in good company, The Bottle Rockets. All these years later, this band still captures the the quiet desperation of the fading Midwestern work ethic. A must for any Americana - roots rock collector.

1. Southern-fried soul food--served up with humor, skill in abundance, and punk-rock enthusiasm. - Webb Wilder and The Beatnecks are hard to classify. Are they rock and roll? Or country? How about psychobilly? Are they a blues band? Heck, they surf better than most big-name surf bands. The fact that they cannot be pigeon-holed into any musical genre is what makes their music essential listening. This album captures the band at their finest, and they deliver up a steaming menu of home-cooked jambalaya, grilled pork and fried chicken, with greens, cornbread, poke salad, mashed potatoes, and grits, with the kind of gravy that curls your toes and gets 'em tappin'.

1. JD and His Hired - I downloaded this album to my phone, intent on listening to the music without any bias against the lead singer. For those of you who don't already know, 'JD' is James Dolan, CEO and Executive Chairman of Madison Square Garden Company. As the owner of the National Basketball Association's New York Knicks franchise, he has engendered a significant amount of criticism (and even outright scorn) for his management of the perennially unsuccessful and highly-paid team. Indeed, many of the user reviews of JD & the Straight Shot's music reflect the underlying antipathy towards the front man JD for his performance off stage rather than on. That being said, this album is a major risk factor for ear cancer. Mr. Dolan has purchased the services of real musicians to back up what must be a teenage fantasy of his, to be a 'singer in a rock and roll band.' His voice is mind-numblingly awful, with such a narrow range that when he slightly deviates from his kitschy monotone chanting, the strain in his voice is obvious. His vocal texture is amateurish and reflects his poor range. His songwriting is similarly abhorrent, with the simple-minded lyrics making it impossible for Dolan to communicate any subtext in his "vocals." Any human with functional ears and an honest opinion would find this album to be an awful joke, at best. This is the equivalent of a dog whistle for humans. I would rather have Michael Bolton sing Edelweiss in my ear while spooning with me than ever have to be exposed to this aural plague again.

2. Silly! - This is some of the silliest songwriting I’ve ever heard. Feel bad for the “real” musicians in the band. Should be renamed “JD and the Hostages “because anybody playing music with this guy must be doing so against their will.
Wanna laugh?? Watch the video for their song “Glide”. Hysterical.

1. Live Bootleg Series, Volume - As with all the Bootleg Series ( & counting), this probably isn't the best place to get your introduction to Johnny Winters. But any enthusiast of the man would do well to own any or all of these albums. Scorching versions of "Hideaway" (too bad it's an Album Only item) and "Mean Town Blues" are the highlights here. Curiously, the last track of the album has been deleted here...a guitar-filled version of Hendrix's "Manic Depression"...bummer 'bout that!
Speaking of bummers...where's the rest of the Bootleg Series, anyway? As of now, only are available from ITunes. The rest need to be added, as all of us who bought the vinyl versions of these albums would be sure to pick up a bunch of tracks, since there were no download codes with the vinyl. Just Saying!

1. For the Real Wilderians - This is not an introductory-level Webb Wilder album, though a listener new to Webb's music will find some gems here. It seems this is a glimpse into the past with some live and unreleased tracks from the early days. Songs like New Day and Animal Lover belong among Webb's most satisfyingly rocking tunes. But to call Webb's music Roots Rock is too reductive; he ranges in lots of directions with homages to his musical influences in blues, country, rockabilly, and rock, but all songs have the distinctive Wilder stamp on them. Fans will enjoy the familiar songs (demos maybe?) with some interesting twists. After listening to Ain't That a Lot of Love, I had to break out Hybrid Vigor again. So Powerful Stuff may not be the Webb album to begin with, but it's great to have this guy putting out albums. And if you get a chance to see him live, pick up on it.

1. Not to miss - When this first came out it was in my CD player for months. It's still one of the CDs I listen to regularly. His guitar work is first rate, but if you've seen him play with Dwight you know that already. His second CD is also very good, not as strong as this one however. Anyone that appreciates guitar players must listen to this one.

1. I agree it's good but... - There's no one stand out tune that screams CelticRock!!. Of course there are a couple of members that were responsible for that sound on the previous two albums that are no longer with the band. Challenger might have tried to be that song but it seems directionless/lackluster. But it's a new album...congrats.

2. Just okay - I'm a HUGE Killdares fan and I have been waiting years for this album. Overall I think I came out a little disappointed. While I think the overall sound quality was much better, this album didn't seem to have as much of the celtic flair that I love and associate with the Killdares. This album also lacked that one great song like "Long Island High" or "Farewell to Decorum" that you just wanna listen to over and over and over and over again. This album seemed to focus more on a rock sound in place of the bagpipe and fiddle we are used to hearing front and center. Overall it's an okay album, it seems to be a new direction for the band so don't expect the same in your face celtic pizzazz that we've become accustomed to. But definitely worth buying and enjoying.

1. this is where worship music should be going - it's so refreshing to hear some worship music that breaks away from the "wall of sound", over-produced, cookie-cutter stuff that seems to flood the christian airwaves. i certainly don't miss the "ambient" guitars/keyboards that permeates popular christian music these days. this is some good stuff for those of us who like our folk/country/classic rock, but want to hear God's praises as well. i also like that the songs are a little more honest to the struggles of everyday life, and on a given day, many of these songs, for better or worse, feel like they would have sprung from my own soul, if i only had the words.
truly fantastic.

1. I mean... WOW. - Not only is this ALL created and edited by TWO people, but what these two men have done over the years is incredible, and this album is absolutely their greatest work so far. The songs tell stories executed so brilliantly from its thematic instrumentals to the unique lyrics. The Frozen Trio (aka tracks -), give off MAJOR icy mountain vibes, from the high notes of the keyboards, foreboding drum sounds, and the mysterious lyrics of tracks and . Every song on this album is super dramatic, especially tracks , , -, and . Despite its title, the album collectively sounds wintery, but does an amazing job in doing so, and still lives up to its title, as well as the band's name. This album is an amazing and underrated masterpiece!
