1. People don’t get it - These are not the original studio tracks & there is reasoning for that! In the ’s, bands didn’t get the rights to their albums when signing record deals. When this album was being worked on in the early ’s, those bands still had not gotten the rights to their own album so these tracks were re recorded or taken from live tracks! Some bands also were either not together at the time or just didn’t want to be involved so others recorded the songs! Best song on here is Dio doing Dream On! Ignore the hate/fake reviews! GNR is not on this one but still fakers bring them up!

2. its not that bad - there are some songs on here that are better than the s on the albums.House of Pain is like Industrial Rock I love it & the Leather Boys With Electric Toyz is a Way Better Version than on album & i love Dios cover of Dream on & King Kobra's Mean Street Machine is the Best!! I didn't Even know of them on tell I bought this on CD five stars just because introduced me to King Kobra

3. Ugh - Please, for the love of God, please stop calling it Hair Metal. The term has nothing to do with the music whatsoever. (Yes, I know it's meant to lump the bands together that teased up thier hair for their video's. but again - the term has nothing to do with music.)
And say no to these compilation albums with re-recorded music! Buy the original songs on the original recordings. And if they aren't available here, go elsewhere!

4. over all I liked this one - While some of the bigger names one would expect were missing from this cd, I found it refreashing to see some of the lesser known bands on it. Many of these bands didn't get a fair shake when they hit and it's a shame they had just as much talent. If your looking for a "whos who in hair bands" this isn't the cd for you. But, If your looking for a cd that show cases some lesser known, yet just as talented bands. This is for you. While not at a star level it's close. outta stars.

5. These arent the original recordings - Apparently, it was too expensive to purchase the rights (licenses)to the original recordings , so they hired the bands(or someone, in some cases)to re-record it(notice, the tracks are from rock hasbeens).Guess they really needed$$$.I hate cover compilations like this

6. this is not a very good compilation - I am a DIEHARD 's hair fan and this really falls short in my expectations of a good hair band cd where is Motley Crue , Skid Row, Guns -n- Roses I don't get it when I think hair band I almost always think of Skid Row(right after Poison) so I am a little disappointed I'm not buying this and I won't tell others not to but i am almost certain there are better compilations if you're pretty young and just getting into hair bands (first of all I'm sorry LOL) I wouls suggest Skid Row (only the first albums) and ANY Motley Crue and to overlook Guns-n- Roses is just sad i'm disappointed

7. s - this is supposed to be s hair metal. cherry pie came out in (close). quiet riot's ORIGINAL feel the noize WAS released in (slade in [off by years, but that isn't on this album]) but this version of feel the noize on this compilation album comes from a quiet riot RE-MAKE in (wayy off, years), not to mention that those two songs are the only ones worth buying. save your money. buy metal health (or cm on feel the noize [EP] by quiet riot, its the version].

8. ummm - i hate the term "hair metal". i hate it because when people classify GNR and Cinderella under the same umbrella i want to puke. GNR is amazing, while cinderella is nothing but a joke. but i do feel every genre deserves a worthy representation, even hair metal. First of all, uhmm wheres the Iron Maiden. the greatest metal or "hair" metal band EVER and you don't even have them on there. same with GNR, Dio, Crue (i dont like Crue, but they should be on there), and the list goes on and on, this ISNT 's Hair Metal, this is CRAP

1. FINALLY!!!!!! - After all these years, this album is FINALLY on ITunes. This is a solid album. Jeff Pilson's voice is really good and the song writing between Jeff and George is well shown. It's more melodic than Dokken and Lynch Mob, also a little softer, but there are some great songs here. If you are a George Lynch fan, this is a must have album.
