1. iTunes Please Be True to Original Artists - I agree with the previous review - if you grew up with this music you know every voice, every nuance every beat. Please iTunes, don't try and pass "wannabe originals" as the real thing -- let the "new" audiences of the classics be forewarned…. these are NOT original recordings.

2. Trash - Avoid this album: Doo Wop Love - NOT the original HIT versions of the songs that are listed. While the Crew Cuts' version of Earth Angel is okay, it is not at all equivalent to the Penguins' HIT version that everyone knows. Avoid, Avoid, Avoid!!! Caveat Emptor! Yep, I got burned. iTunes needs to weed out these albums. Have you guys heard of Quality Control? You're ripping off your own customers and that is wrong.

3. Just Like Romeo and Juliet - A great song that the ORIGINAL was "tinkered with" and re-recorded so poorly it is little more than a cheap imitation of a REAL CLASSIC. I have been a DJ for almost years and played this song as a ' when it was NEW so I know even the slightest change from the ORIGINAL and there are way too many in this. This was a GREAT song and why someone thought screwing with the ORIGINAL would make it BETTER is beyond me! The back up singing is off, the chorus goes up where the original goes down, and so on. A wonderful song is ruined here. Doesn't even Rhino (who is very good at not missing with the original) have the one I thought I was buying? iTunes is the BEST (no ifs, ands, or buts) and everyone lets one slide though a crack now and then and this one sure did! 4. Know What You're Getting Into - Good conversation. Like most of you I would never purchase re-recorded versions of 's classics. At least iTunes labels albums "Original Artist Re-Recording" when they know songs aren't originals. You just have to be aware that means it's not the real deal. I wish iTunes would make it easier to know the difference with all their offerings. Too often I've had to waste time previewing songs that were "fakes" and, yes, I've wasted money, too, by not being careful enough. That's frustrating.

5. DO NOT BUY SONGS FROM THIS ALBUM - What a weak attempt and providing orrigional songs to an IPOD. Denise (Randy and the Rainbows) is a fake and horrible. Why would Apple offer such bogus albums/songs ? I am going to cancel my account if Apple does not get on the stick and provide authentic songs/artists. We are spending money for garbage. I am very annoyed and will look for another avenue to purchase quality music.

6. Original Artist But, All Re-recordings.... Yeah, Except One - I had to comment on someone's other comment that these were not the original artist's when in fact, They are. It say's clearly in plain english RE-RECORDINGS. And for music lovers like me, This will sound for the most part like karaoke. My ears cannot be fooled by re-recordings and so called live versions where an artist lypsyncs to a song with some cheering in the background. lol... I like that about me and then again I don't. I wish I could enjoy these songs but, my ears know they are NOT the same as I used to hear when I was a kid.

7. Save Your Hard Earned $$ - SOFT HEART doesn't get it. Way too young. Karma Chameleon is Soft Heart's oldie. These are not "other artists" or different interpretations. The remakes kill the nostalgia you appreciate the originals for. It's the original sound that invokes the memories of when, where, and what you were doing. This is nothing more than another vomit inducing rip-off by iTunes and K-tel.

8. Doo Wop Love Various Artists - Another example of Inexperience with iTunes Personnel! The title of this compilation would have you believe you're getting the Original Versions of great tunes, but that's not so! The only original version is 'Come Go With Me" by The Dell-Vikings. I believe the other versions are so-called after market(El Cheap O). If you're really trying to sell such Cheap Music, you won't sell it to me or anyone who know Real RockNRoll!

9. Why They Re-Record - I bought Just Like Romeo and Juliet . . . only to find out I should have read the other reviews first. It's a darn re-make, not the original recording (but may be the still-performing group The Reflections). They re-record to avoid having to pay royalities to whoever ownes the rights to the original recordings, by the way.

10. Doo wop love - Artists do many versions of songs, of their own and of others. I think the problem may be that people don't get is that different artists can have their own orginal version of a song even though someone else did the first ever orginal making of it. The point is you have a live versions, different albums, and singles. They usually are very different than their first orginal recording. So just be sure which artist came out with the song first, it doesn't mean it's not an orginal recording! Take time to find out what your really wanting to save from disappointment!!!

11. Not original recordings - Not to get between the previous two reviewers, but "Hushabye" by the Mystics is at least a modern re-recording. That's not to say that these may not be the original artists, but while I haven't listened to the whole album, that song is most definitely NOT the original recording...

1. Audio Problems on "Over the Rainbow" - "Over the Rainbow" is the original hit version, but there are some horrible audio problems early in the song that are not on the original recording. Sounds like somebody messed up in the mastering process and picked up some extra audio (sounds like some metal jingling or something). I wouldn't bother with it.

1. Greatest ever - Me being a huge Doo Wop fan I was natural attracted to this song. The thing that makes it so great is the lyrics.
