1. Truly one of a kind! - Wow. The first time I heard of Donna Summer was many moons ago, when I was just ! I was getting a ride home with my friends and this guy Gordy told us about this new singer, and how she had a song that lasted for the entire side of the record! That was completely unheard of back then. The really great thing about Donna, was her unbelievable ability to bring together all different kinds of people. I was also amazed, that unlike the majority of great music that was coming out, they would have one hit song, and you never heard from them again. With her, every song was a great hit, and the disco crowd knew it. I've loved her ever since. This album was made in , which was years after that first song on half the record. And then, years later, singing live at the Disco Ball, at around , she hit all the notes with that same wonderful clarity and vibrancy which launched her into star dome years earlier!

2. Flawless - The ONLY thing missing from thr album thst was on the concert release was the cover of Yoland Adams "Riding Through The Storm". That song got me through the most difficult time of my life. Even though we know Heaven has a new angel in the choir, she'll be missed here on earth more than I can put in to words. Rest in Peace beutiful lady. And thanks for providing the background music to our lives. Never will you be forgotten.

1. Great Dance Music of the early- to mid- - Many of these songs will be instantly recognizable to anyone who danced in a gay club in the s. Especially "Come and Get Your Love", Babe, We're Going to Love Tonight", and "Your Love." Great memories of an era! These days, this music motivates me to get to the gym, which is why I downloaded it from iTunes.

1. Missing one thing - Quite a few of these tracks seem like filler but it's great compilation. The only thing missing is Negro's brilliant remix of Phyllis Hyman's "You Know How to Love Me." Unfortunately this track can only be bought as an album-only optionn on a less than worthy compilation. It should be here!

1. Bobby Bee on 'The Glow of Love' Albulm - Here's where the world is introduced to "The Voice", Luther Vandross!
From "Lover's Holiday", where they tease you w/ it, to the Title cut where he breaks out, to "Searching" where he just shows how versatile he is/was.But as a group, Change will be remembered for being... different. Change!!!!

2. A true diamond. - This is what music is all about. Thank you CHANGE!
You might not believe this but it was my brother-in-law from Roswell, NM who turned me on to your cassette. I was never the same after hearing this track the first time. (A lovers holiday). I think he saw you one day on Soul Train. GRACIAS

3. The OTHER Great Voice of Change - Luther, Schmuther....is nobody going to mention Jocelyn Brown (credited at this time as Jocelyn Shaw)???? Her vocals stand out as much as Vandross'. Listen to 'Angel in My Pocket' and dare to disagree. Change was an ensemble with NO weak links. Yes, Luther is fabulous. YES, so is Jocelyn!

4. The Beginning - "A Lovers Holiday" and "The Glow of Love", yes...brings back the memories on who is that band and hmmm....Luther who. Great freshman album by the group with their sophomore "Miracles" to follow. Must have for those that want to hear the beginning of an awesome band and soon the icon referred to simply as Luther.

5. Glow of Love - This album was the definitive for hot and happening back in the day. An exceptional bonus is the vocals of Luther Vandross (who had been heard before but was not known by name in commercials, other artist's tracks, etc.). It made people ask "who is that silky tenor?" The instrumental and vocals vie for top billing and it is really hard to choose. Choose the album and be totally pleased.

6. Timeless - "The Glow of Love" by change is one of the finest albums of the so-called disco era. Every song is a winner. The three single releases, "A Lovers Holiday", "Searching" and especially the title song feature outstanding vocals and smooth, hypnotic, yet very dancable beats. The remaining songs are more than just filler with the songs "It's a Girl's Affair" and "Angel in My Pocket" garnering considerable play in clubs and discos. They easily could have also been successful commercial releases. However, it is Luther Vandross' haunting vocal on the gorgeous title song that is the true highlight of this album. Excellent!

7. 's dreamy backdrop - This album provided the theme music to my s life. All the songs, especially "Searching" added a dreamy mood to every experience. Now, every time my sister and I hear Searching it's amazing that we can remember every nuance of Luther Vandros's vocals. You won't be disappointed. If you like the second clips of these songs go ahead and spend the small sum of and some change to buy "Change" It's a great album!

1. The Queen at the Apex of Her Imperial Phase - Donna could do no wrong in . Bad Girls was an artistic and commericial triumph spinning off no less than classic top hits, including the title track, Hot Stuff and Dim All The Lights. The set concludes with a template of future dance music for decades to come: Our Love/Lucky/Sunset People. The remaster, sleeve, booklet and the addition of inch versions of Bad Girls classics and beyond make this a must have for any diehard Donna fan.

1. PART is KC'S BEST - HOT! Groovy, funky, lots-of-horns, Island feeling, rock dance music. KC and the Sunshine Bands best selling, most popular album at the height of their career. Tracks , , , and are hits you'll find on most Compilations. But you can't miss , , and .... Baby I love you, Like to do it, Lets go party and Come on In are as good as KC gets. Part consist of Tracks - which flow and seem to "belong" together. The rest of the songs are extras and nothing super special except the sizzlin hot Get down tonight and spanish Please Don't go. I strongly recommend this album in order to keep the excellent flow of Part .

1. I can't believe it.... - It breaks my heart to say it but I'm not feeling it at all. Love Jimmy Love Disco but not Homage. The sound is genric and the songs are uninspired. I honestly don't think Jimmy's been feeling it since Home Again. Other than the originals of Some Wonder and Overload there is little else to be excited about. I will be waiting for the next one...

2. Oh how I love thee - I love me some Jimmy Somerville. His voice is one of those voices that you just don’t get over…ever. I’m a fan for sure, but in listening to this disc I’ve got a whole new love of Jimmy’s music. I’ve followed his career my entire adult life…he’s the soundtrack of my life really lol. This album is great. Every track is sultry and a great beat. I loved the beats! Great disc. Highly recommend and can’t wait to hear some of the remixes when they come out!

1. Not the original i will survive!! - The I will survive in this song is not the original like how the sample deceves you to think it is in the middle she yells out in a I wiiiiilllllll survive in a deep deep chanting like voice over and over so it like a remix. Shame on the person who made the sample sound like the original!!!! I love Gloria's music though but not this remix version though

1. YES! FINALLY cleaned up & remastered! ;D - Before I go into describing the album itself, let me first take the time to thank iTunes for this crisp new remaster. You see, this album had already been up on here (and Amazon) for nearly a decade, but its sound quality was horrible. Not only was it too faint, but there was a steady loud "hiss" permanently running through the background of the entire album which made it siund as though it were someone's old cassette played off an -track tape (in no way am I exaggerating or trying to be flip; I've collected music for decades, and this was literally what it sounded like). It was so sloppy that there were Youtube videos posted created by others who owned the original record which actually sounded far superior. I could only wait helplessly while hoping somebody cared enough to remaster it. Well finally, after all this time, the digital version of Samantha Sang's lovely debut album finally gets a good cleanup which at the same time preserves its soft, ethereal beauty with this fine Apple remaster, and not a moment too soon. Now whole new generations who most likely have only known Samantha as the vocalist who paired up with the Bee Gees on her hit "Emotion" can finally enjoy this wistfully lovely gem. Not surprisingly, the entire album was helped out by the Gibb brothers. A softly romantic album which starts off cheerfully with the lighthearted "You Keep Me Dancing" and then grows more and more seriously wistful as the album progesses, much in the same manner as Brian Wilson's masterpiece "Pet Sounds" does. By the time you reach "When Love Is Gone", you'll be completely submerged in a very special melancholy atmosphere which truly touches a nerve, which truly reflects a very particular emotion which has never before been addressed so specifically or so well. It all closes with a genuinely powerful finale that is a real showstopper that showcase's Sang's vocals the strongest, "The Love of A Woman". When she wails, "I believed in you!" by God the heavens and earth take notice. It's rare when an album's last track can be described as "breathtaking", but that's exactly what this is... and it used to always make me wistful as to what on earth had ever happened to Ms. Sang and if anyone would ever hear from her again. (When at age I played the track for my aunt and expressed the same thing to her, she said with quiet respect and confidence, "She'll come back. She's too good to disappear." Now, in a sense, she has. In that sense, she'll now finally live on forever and this gorgeous album will never be forgotten again. There are a few albums out there which, once experienced, somehow change the world forever for the listener. This is one. [Note: So, iTunes, how about remastering and rereleasing her lighthearted follow up, "From Dance To Love"? ;) ]

1. Confused... - I appreciate this release for collecting various versions of "Heart Of Glass", but this is not the Shep Pettibone remix as found on the UK version of "Once More Into The Bleach." That version replaced most or all of Clem Burke's drums with drum machines and also removes some of the lyrical and musical elements. It is also longer. None of the remixes from "Beautiful", "Remixed, Remade, Remodeled" or any done afterwards are included.

3. From RELIX - RELIX Magazine hails, “[Feeling You! The s includes] tracks that reinvent some of the decade’s best melodies. They supercharge Otis Redding’s ‘Dreams’ with a funky, driving beat, a jazzy organ interlude and a guitar solo that drops quotes from Jimi Hendrix’s ‘Are You Experienced’ into the mix.” Calling KC’s vocal “jubilant” and the band’s harmonies “sanctified,” J. Poet writes, “They close with a devotional rendition of Jackie DeShannon’s ‘Put A Little Love in Your Heart’ that will move your soul the way the rest of the album moves your body.”

1. Mercurial - This is actually weiirdly entrancing, as in trance; a compilation of totally anonymous artists...or are they all synthetic waveforms? Electronic, full of massive bass lines and a tight, coiled drum riffs--and yet you catch yourself suspecting that it's a cunning code. You think about software that has wiped out the greatest human chess and go players...this music will make you wonder. And be just slightly scared.

1. Lucky - Aha! This makes Diana’s seventh (th)/ Billboard Dance hit. I’m not “swept away” by the mixes. However, I’m still gonna dance the night away! These songs have been remixed into infinity. In the early nineties,”Upside Down ‘” became a hit across many European territories. In , “I’m Coming Out” was sampled by Biggie Smalls (aka Notorious B.I.G.) became a Hip Hop/Rap Hot smash, “Mo’ Money, Mo’ Problems” for an entire month selling million singles (xs Platinum), reportedly making Diana another bundle as they sampled her actually recording. Then in , Almighty Records, a Dance label, released the critically acclaimed, “We Love Diana Ross” Remix album featuring even another round of mixes on both songs.

1. Early EDM at its best!!! - Cerrone, along with Giorgio Moroder and a few others, brought EDM into the mainstream in the mid-’s. Granted, this didn’t receive a lot of radio airplay in the US…but you couldn’t walk into a club ANYWHERE and not hear ‘Supernature’ or ‘Give Me Love’. A virtual DANCE FLOOR MONSTER’ and a go-to for old DJ’s like me…back in the day!!!

1. Disco?? REALLY?? - It is a known fact that The Bee Gees produced discofied gems in the mid seventies, but Apple has this particular album genre completely wrong. In fact, it is extremely difficult to search many classic gems on Apple Music due to the majority of the items categorized incorrectly. Especially the Disco genre which could be filed under Electronic, Dance, Disco, House or anything else except Classical or Country thankfully. I am a fan of good music, no matter the genre, but it should be categorized correctly… I know, wishful thinking.

1. Donna Summer by Quincy Jones - This is the only album that Quincy Jones produced for Donna Summer. It's hard to believe that her top "Love is in Control" was on the radio years ago. Donna in was trying different styles since she was more than a Disco Queen. Her cover of "State of Independence" with top aritsts as Michael Jackson, Lionel Richie, Kenny Loggins just to mention few of them as chrorus was amazing and the rock oriented grammy nominated by Bruce Springteen "Protection" shows the diversity from this album. This th anniversary got a new fresh remix from her song "Mystery of Love" that should have been a single back then... Totally Recommended!!!
