1. It's Amazing - I agree with both reviews prior to mine. Hz is why I purchased it. I too a nap listening and it really worked. I a kind of purple symbol and it startled me at first. All in all the music does work. I use it to help me sleep at night (via echo device). I created an album using only the Hz.

2. massage therapy session music - I listened to this albumn twenty times this week at my work as a massage therapist. I deleted about songs off the playlist, but overall the sounds did not get on my nerves. The music does not have much melody, and it is not very "spacey." I found it peaceful. The songs I deleted had a twangy piano sound. After I deleted the songs that annoyed me, I still had over an hour music. Clients were neutral about these sounds, neither liking or disliking. I use Liquid Mind also during sessions sometimes when I need neutral/drone music like this.

1. Perfect for Trips and Nightly Use - My three shih tzus accompanied me on a trip to a dog friendly vacation home this week and, as usual, when bedtime came around, they wouldn’t settle down for the night due to the unfamiliar room. After tossing and turning for two hours with nervous dogs barking at every little noise, as a last resort, I purchased this CD, hooked up my phone to the charger and played it on repeat. They were all asleep within minutes and slept soundly through the night! I’ve taken to playing it throughout the day as well to keep them relaxed and to prevent unnecessary barking. It’s very pleasant for humans to listen to as well! Thanks for this contribution to iTunes - my vacation is saved!

1. Not for sleep, maybe for relaxation - The rise and fall of the sound is distracting if you’re trying to fall asleep. The purpose is clear your mind and focus on the sound, to just hear the “nothing” that is “white noise”. Unfortunately I found myself waiting for the rise then the fall, so much so that it actually became annoying. For studying or relaxation, where you need to block out distractions, this would probably work well. I found another that is so much smoother and works very well.

1. Absolutely amazing album - So you say you’re a person who “likes all kinds of music”? If so, you have zero excuse not to have this album in your collection. Composed and recorded during the New Age boom of the s, the genius musicianship on display here has remained absolutely timeless. I laughed when my friend convinced me to listen to a guy playing a harp… and I’ve never been the same since. AV has a number of masterpiece albums. I consider this my personal favorite.

1. Artistic Ambience for Solo Piano - This album was a pleasant surprise to me. Not a surprise that Robin would release a stunning album, but that an album intended to be somewhat ambient in style would capture my imagination so completely. Recorded as a collection of gentle improvisations, On the Edge of a Dream succeeds in being so much more than an "ambient" album, particularly in the melodies Robin has created here. When modern artists record ambient, improvised music, it can tend to be bland and unmemorable. However, these melodies are lovely and creative, with each piece having its own unique shape and character, while at the same time providing a soothing background soundtrack for sleep. The recording of the piano is perfect and intimate, with flawless tuning and performance. This album will have a permanent spot on my phone for those nights traveling when it is hard to sleep.

2. From MainlyPiano - Robin Spielberg’s "On the Edge of a Dream" is subtitled “Piano Solos for Dreaming” and is quite different from any of her other recordings. Intended for dreaming, contemplation, relaxation, and medical therapies, Spielberg calls this music a celebration of “the nightly voyage from a state of consciousness to the edge of our dreams.” Having kept journals of her very active dream life over the years, Spielberg encourages her listeners to to do the same to gain insight into their deepest desires, fears and relationships. She has created a companion dream journal that can be purchased separately. As a Celebrity Spokesperson for the American Music Therapy Association for many years, Spielberg has often witnessed the power of music to heal, relax and soothe. She has drawn from that experience as well as her own “nightly voyages” to create an album that is very soothing, open, and always beautiful. "On the Edge of a Dream" is Robin Spielberg’s eighteenth album to date. Her catalog is varied and consists of collections of original compositions, Americana, pop music, standards, lullabies, holiday music, a spa album, and several ensemble works. Although she has been improvising at the piano for many years, this is her first album of improvisations. The fourteen pieces were recorded on an Steinway grand piano and Spielberg makes excellent use of the una corda (soft pedal) and sostenuto pedals to create a dreamy atmosphere that is warm and enveloping (like a cozy quilt!). Not really ambient, most of the pieces are melodic with gentle rhythms - more Impressionistic than ambient. "On the Edge of a Dream" begins with the title track, a very slow and simple piece that invites the listener to slow down, relax and let go. “We Meet Again” has a hypnotic rolling left hand pattern with a simple, expressive melody on the right. Quite a bit of the piece is played in the upper octaves of the piano, creating a sparkling effect. “Drifting” is very spare and slow, with open space between the notes and chords - also very hypnotic. I love the mysterious “Spellbound,” my favorite track on the album. In a dark, minor key that is more magical than sad or scary, it makes me think of walking around in the dark, feeling like the only person in the world who is still awake. Love it! “Stargazing” has a softly rolling left hand pattern that enhances the brighter, sparkling right. Robin’s effective use of the pedals evokes images of looking into a dark, expansive sky, seeing the brilliance of the stars and moon, and wondering what else is out there. “Calling All Dreamers” begins slowly, with a lively middle section that all but dances for joy before returning to the quieter theme and gradually fading out. “Into the Night” is another favorite. Dark and mysterious without becoming nightmarish, I love the accents in the deep bass of the piano. The second half ventures into the higher end of the keyboard while maintaining the sense of mystery. “Blue Moon Rising” gently brings this lovely album to a peaceful close, although I have a feeling a lot of people won’t make it to the end before dozing off! Don’t fight it, though - wrap yourself in this warm, cozy piano music and sail away to your own dreamworld! "On the Edge of a Dream" is very highly recommended!

1. Words and Music are both great.... - It's just not mixed well! I had to strain to hear the lovely thoughts that Dudley was expressing because the music was fighting with her words for attention. The background music should have been mixed to be more in the background! A very dissappointing purchase that should have been awe inspiring!
