1. Love these! - These are great shorter guided meditations that I love doing when I don’t have a lot of time. The night time one always makes me fall asleep. Regarding a comment made I about his drawn out voice or voice changes. He has spoken about why he does that. If you google “joe Dispenza voice changes” I’m sure you’ll find it. There is always a method and reason to why he does things. I believe he has and continues to do research on sound and music and how it pushes the brain to gamma. I have heard him say that he tries to make his voice impersonal to disconnect the thought of it being him. Which makes sense in meditation because the goal is to not have any thoughts. For some I guess it works and for others it just makes them focus more. At some point (for me) his voice doesn’t even sound like a voice to me. It turns into just sound. So for me... I get why he does it completely. These were worth the money for me.

2. Perfect start and end of the day - First of all, to the person who doesn’t like how he guides you in the meditation, what did you expect? Rap talk? It’s a meditation for right after you wake up or before going to sleep... you want it soothing. Regardless this is just what I needed in addition to his other meditations: short and deep to move me in and out of my day. Just wonderful and I am witnessing shifts around my life so much already. Thank you

3. Overly dramatic voice - Joe Dispenza’s philosophies are intriguing and life changing, yes, but this guided meditation is anything BUT meditation -worthy. His voice and cadence of speaking is annoyingly unnaturally slow, so much to the point you want to laugh. It’s like overdramatized in a sense. At one point I was thinking to myself “You’ve got to be kidding me!” It’s hard to take someone seriously when they’re saying, “Nowww, PICturrre the spaaace betweeen yourrr eaaaars aaaannnd the baaaack of yourrrr HEAD!” I am not kidding, he spoke that way. I mean why? Oh why? Man I was bummed because I was so excited to start meditation upon reading the principles and philosophies of the book on breaking the habit of being yourself. Someone tell me which meditation CD of his to get- now I’m kinda scared to check out the others! Disappointing!

1. Always helps me sleep well - I’ve been listening to this album for many years. It’s been my “go to” album when I can’t sleep. They have science behind this and whatever they did it works well for my insomnia. I sleep so well with this music. It also masks my tinnitus. I recommend this album if you need to sleep!..

1. Very unique! - I really love this collection, there are some very unique tracks on here, unlike most “relaxing” or “meditation” music where it’s just a whole bunch of the same long drawn out tones that get irritating this has unusual sounds , rain mixed with music mixed with the sound of fire. Just really cool. My favorite track is the whole album is worth the price even if you only like a handful of the songs. Worth buying !

2. Lovely! - I was a little hesitant to download songs, not knowing how much space it could take up. The answer? MB which was a pleasant surprise ^_^ The songs themselves are very relaxing and I look forward to listening to them all as I sleep. They are relaxing sounds as you would expect them, with being at a fabulous price!

3. LOVE LOVE LOOVE - This is definitely worth the .$!! I love the music, it is so peaceful and calming! It not only helps me sleep but also relax while in the tub, or just get things done. It's great music for working as well as sleeping. The songs add up to about and a half hours of relaxation. If you have the music of repeat playlist then even longer then that! I would definitely recommend this to all of my friends who either want music go sleep to or music to work to! It does the job perfectly for both! Great music, super peaceful. Absolutely love them!!!

1. Some good, some not so good - Overall, this is a fairly good collection, but be aware:
. The sound levels are not consistent. You don't want to be having to change the volume up or down, especially if trying to relax or go to sleep. It should not be that hard to match the levels from track to track, but they didn't. . Some tracks are boring. A blizzard. A hail storm. Really? . There are many similar tracks. Lots of ocean waves. Lots of wind in the _______ (fill in the blank). If you play under shuffle, I guess I found a sound level that was comfortable and then deleted the ones that were too low to hear or too loud (often gulls or "quiet" babbling brooks). And some of the boring ones. I ended up with tracks. This album takes up a lot of space, so it pays to pare it down.

2. Response to TheAudioSnob - Great album and a fantastic value. In response to TheAudioSnob's review: What do you mean by artificial? Do you mean procedural audio? I doubt any of these sounds are synthesized. I would agree that some are better than others and it's possible there is some foley happening in some of the tracks, but you are definitely exaggerating. "Bad audio proportions" in most? What does this even mean? I'd be interested to know how you're listening to this album, because this album holds up well on my studio monitors.
2013-04-25
3. Mostly manufactured - Even with Bose's low-quality products it is apparent that most of these sounds are produced artificially. Many are quite exaggerated. Bonfire sounds like it is rain and boiling water. Campfire is exaggerated, likely threw in wet pine needles. Driving in downpour is more like aquarium rocks dropped on hard plastic and shaking very large piece of sheet metal. Too many more to list all. Bad audio proportions in most. Wish zero stars was an option. Quantity does not mean quality. Sure it is cheap but you save even more by not wasting $ on what is only mediocre at it's best.

1. Beautiful Native American Music and Relaxing Nature Sounds - "Native American Flutes & Sounds of Nature" by Jessita Reyes consists of a combination of recorded Native American flute and nature background that is sublime. Very calming and relaxing music. This is an incredibly soothing album. Great instrumental pieces with some other instruments with the Native American flute as the dominant instrument. The music of each song flows softly gently and pleasantly. A very excellent marriage between man-made instruments and nature sounds. Highly recommended for anyone who loves the sounds of the Native American flute.

2. I did not think.... - I would truly be lost in the moment listening to this beautiful solace of heaven. LOVE IT. Trouble sleeping but this helped me so much to my surprise. I purchased this along with a water wave projector that lights up on your ceiling. And it's like a perfect marriage together. I dose off before I know it. Thank you Jessita Reyes :-)

3. Enter the Spirit Realm - This album is a must have for any massage therapist, energy workert or healer! Easily one of my favorites already and can't wait to share with my clients .Dispite the large number of songs, they all seamlessly flow into one another. This music really transports you to another time and space and connects you with Spirit. I highly recommend!

1. Quiets My Mind - I've been listening to New Age for many years. I find his music to be much more soothing than any New Age music I have. I always go back to his music. Silk Road....OMG...when that violinist starts it cuts through any stress, etc. I may have. His music prenetrates my soul. I listen to it while meditating and journaling. My husband even likes it on when we go to bed. Best I've heard so far.
2017-02-26
2. Early-era Kitaro's Music - As a big fan of Kitaro, it's always nice to go back to his old albums and remember Kitaro's more youthful sounds. I think his early work revolves around simple melodies, dare I say... like early Mozart. This album is good for anybody who likes new age music without all the modern glitz and glamour of the current recording techniques. Sometimes old-tech is great. Especially in, "hi-tech" music.
2012-03-07
3. Left me breathless!!! - This is the first that I ever bought from artist Kitaro...I have to say it left me breathless. He is a poet though music. Songs like "Theme from Silk road" and "shimmering Horizon", just to name a few . .. brillant and wonderful. If you like new age music, or atmospheric music...THIS IS A MUST!!! Worth the price.

1. Queen of Music - I have explored just about every single possible facet of music out there from blues and jazz to classical to country to wrap to euro-pop and everything celtic under the sun. I have built a huge repertoire of music, and I have to say, no matter what I find, it never holds a candle to Enya. I love a lot of other artists, including her sister, Moya, but the sheer amount of work that Enya and her team put into every song is very apparent. They treat music making as a fine art, as it ought to be treated, and they are the masters. I have yet to hear an Enya song that I don't love.
2011-08-10
2. Sounds great! - The tracks on this CD have a slightly different sound than most of the Enya I've listened to, but I like it a lot! I love the rythmic energy of "The River Sings" and "It's in the Rain". "Long Long Journey" has a real sound of distance and longing, and as always Enya's music consistently has a calming, mystical quality that is distinctively her own. I don't really care for "Someone Said Goodbye", because it doesn't seem genuine to me, but that's just me. I've noticed that about half of Enya's music seems to be about either love, precipitation, or going somewhere. Haha.

3. Amazing! Always So Soothing! - Amarantine: /. Another one of my favorite Enya songs. I love everything about it.
It's In The Rain: /. I sound like a broken record player, but it's BEAUTIFUL! My favorite is the chorus (first one starts at :). Enya always reminds me of God and nature (for me, they're almost synonymous).
The River Sings: /!! Marvelous and mystical. The music flows like a river. And those of you who think Enya isn't upbeat should listen to this.
Long Long Journey: /. Excellent. I can't help but visualize the journey as I listen.
Sumerigusa: ./. This is a nice song, but not very unique until :.
A Moment Lost: /. It's just not different from anything else she's done. It's still relaxing, though. Not bad, Enya.
Drifting: /. Same as A Moment Lost!
Amid The Falling Snow: /. The ending is the best part (and by that I don't mean it's bad). Soothing.
Water Shows the Hidden Heart: ./. It's great. I love it. The best part starts at :.

4. Melodic and Refreshing - I first heard Enya at a friend's house and its so amazing! If you just open your mind and listen to the song, its like there are pictures in your head. It totally relaxes you and i listen to it to unwind or even fall asleep. I reccomend buying this... you wont regret it. And for Liz... Long Long Journey is number six on the itunes album.

5. Enya- Amarantine - I searched for some music to help sooth me in the evening and Enya has been the PERFECT artist to do so! She helps me open my creative side so that I no longer have long battles with writers block, she helps me meditate stress away, and she also helps me find peaceful nights of sleep. I couldn't ask for better music to listen to! Thank you Enya for your art, and your magic. Please don't stop!
2009-08-20
6. Very Good - Enya has kept very much within her style and yet evolved i since the release of the Celts. This album has reached the highest level of beauty, second only to A day without Rain, speaking of which-why can't I find it on iTunes? Enya's work simply gets better with time. By the way, the best songs on this album are It's in the Rain, Someone said Goodbye, and Water shows the Hidden Heart. Much Love.
2008-09-26
7. A great album for those who like Enya's recent albums - I love this album since I am a fan of A Day Without Rain, but if you prefer Enya's older songs, this may not be your album. My favorite song is It's In The Rain, I also love Amarantine, Less Than A Pearl, and Amid The Falling Snow. This album is great if you prefer st century Enya music over her older songs.
2008-09-14
8. A good smooth CD from Enya - This is a very soothing voice and a perfect companion for relaxation. I find though this album to be a bit less profond than the previous ones but if you like Enya you'll be in known territories. I was glad to discover a new Canadian artist that is maybe a bit more uptempo but still relaxing. You might want to check her out, her name is Marcome and she uses layered vocals like Enya but with percussions and guitars.
2008-03-15
9. Good, but a bit disappointing - These songs all are good, but I was expecting it to be like A Day Without Rain, which wasn't as sad as some songs on this album feel, more of a summer album. But this album sometimes gets a bit dull or sad, and some of the songs start to sound alike. Just get the songs you like from this album. I don't think it's worth buying entirely. Get Enya's A DAY WITHOUT RAIN album instead.
2008-03-05
10. Nice music - My wife and I have had this album in our daughter's "sleeping music" mix since the day she was born, and I'm always happy to hear it when I hit the play button at bed-time and "Less Than A Pearl" begins. Years ago, when I was younger, I thought that Enya's hit song about sailing away was cheesy. Then again, I had bright yellow hair, I smoked cigarettes and I didn't have a job or a family. But now I appreciate this music as something simple and beautiful, despite what some critics say about it. I would recommend this album for someone who wants to relax or sleep, or someone who wants a child to do the same.

11. Amarantine - Incomplete - Again, iTunes is selling only part of the album. My favorite song, "Water Shows the Hidden Heart" is NOT ON THE iTunes ALBUM. I wll just buy it from Amazon and rip it into iTunes. Hey Apple, if you are going to sell an album, SELL THE WHOLE ALBUM!! Not the first time this has happened. One of my few complaints about the whole iTunes experience.
2007-08-19
12. My dog fell asleep listening to Enya - Not only does Enya relax people, but dogs as well! There's probably no proof to support that except that my overly energetic puppy laid down and fell asleep while I was listening to Enya to relax. Enya has the voice of an angel. I remember when I first heard her. I was just blown away and had gone at least five years without knowing who she was. Then two years ago, my teacher played her music whenever she gave us an independent assignment. I was tempted to walk up to her iPod and see who the artist was, but I was too shy. Finally, this year, my drama teacher told us to produce a small play and to use instrumental music, unless it was someone like Enya. She did a quick demonstration of what Enya sounded like and I came home quickly and looked her up on iTunes. After years of being deprived of not hearing Enya's beautiful voice, I finally was reunited with her music. All of her songs are great and SO beautiful, however for those on a tight budget, here are my top recommendations: Amarantine It's In The Rain The River Sings Voila. Enjoy. Close your eyes and enter the depths of your imagination as Enya guides you through a wonderland with her angelic voice.

13. True music! - Let me start by saying that I absolutely adore Enya!!! Her songs are so relaxing and beautiful! When I listen to them it just feels as though I could melt away....seriously. I love all her songs and all her albums! I totally reccomend buyign ALL of her cd's, It will NOT be wasted money!!

14. its in the rain - i have to say "its in the rain" is one of the most invigorating songs i have ever heard. you listen to it and it's like its cleansing you. the other songs are also very beautiful and calming. This album is very good to help a healing soul. Also, Enya performed "its in the rain" at the music awards. The performance was AMAZING.
2007-05-31
15. A Masterpiece! - Enya has done it again! Another beautiful and calming album. My favorites are Less than a pearl, amarantine,if I could be where you are, and amid the falling snow(which is also on her small christmas album). Enya is great! Just buy the whole album and I guarentee you will be impressed and feel like you spent your money on something very valuable!
2007-04-19
16. Finally, another good Enya - After her cd "The Celts" went essentially unnoticed, it's nice to have another Enya cd that stands out. This album, Shepherd Moons, Watermark, and A Day Without Rain are by far her best (I hope that's not all of them). Seriously, download them all now. You'll be glad you did.

1. Quite possibly saved my life, certainly changed it. - I stumbled upon this at just the right time, it wound up being the quiet before the storm of my life. Listening to this at night helped me ease my anxieties and quiet my mind and fall asleep with a happy heart. It is still my go-to when I need to give myself some TLC and re-charge my energy stores. I recommend this to anyone in a rough patch, it will bring light into your darkest places.

2. Sooo close to stars!!! - I love Deepak Chopra's voice, and his wisdom and guidance are inspirational and extremely helpful for individuals like myself who have trouble meditating in silence or have a busy, worried, and restless mind. I gave it stars instead of only because I wish they had given a little more time to the music before returning to the affirmations. Besides that, it's wonderful. Highly recommend!!!

3. Bought Album Can't load Higher Self- Corrupted File??? - Have been trying to download Higher self from this album and keeps coming up with an error message and stating that the file is corrupted. Called and can't get a straight answer from anyone at Apple. They sent me an email to have me try and fix it myself. Tried to fix it and same error message comes up. What does 'corrupted' file mean anyway? What I was able to get is wonderful but this really upsets me because you have no way of getting your money for what you actually don't recieve. Really bummed.

4. Great buy! - Soul of Healing Affirmations is relaxing and rejuvenating, the album is well organize and the affirmations, if put to practice, can quiet the mind and liven the spirit. I intend to give myself ten minutes in the morning and before sleep to listen to a few affirmations and put them into action. These affirmations ground me on what is important and meaningful in my life. Thanks

5. Learn the art of inner healing - This album mixes music with a the voice of Deepak, guiding your thoughts on the environment around you and within you. If your looking for music only - this isint the album for you. Deepak starts with the letter "A" and ends with "Z", each letter symbolizing an afirmation. If you enjoy guided meditation then this IS the album for you. It's very good to listen to when your upset, mad or just depresse - it's very 'uplifting'.
2008-04-14
6. Wrong Album Being Reviewed - First off I'm not judging this whatever it is, since I don't know much about it and I'm not trying to alienate whoever is into this. Simply put the two stars that I gave this is because it's apparent that the iTunes review is obviously for the wrong album. None of the songs that are mentioned in the iTunes review for this is once again obviously in this collection. They really should double check this stuff to make sure it's right.

1. His Best - I've listened to most of KD's CDs and this is hands down his best. The production is amazing. It is saturated with love and devotion. The best tracks are Baba Hanuman (melts your heart), Kainchi Hare Krishna (blows your socks off), and Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya (very moving). The Hare Krishna chant is the best you will find anywhere- for its devotion and steady build up of energy. KD's voice is so deep and really resonates the power of these ancient mantras. Nothing airy-fairy here- the energy just blows through all the mental noise and inspires and strengthens the heart.

2. His best! - Krishna Das consistently comes in swingin' at the shell around your heart with a sledgehammer (in a yogic, non-violent sorta way), but this is really his best effort at igniting the joy in the listener's heart. Every track systematically reaches into every nook and cranny in there and pulls out bliss, longing for the divine, and awareness. I use it constantly in my yoga classes. His greatest hits is an awesome introduction to KD, but this is a very close second. His other albums tend to be way more playful, or way more intimate, both of which are also great, but this one is just all love, all the time... Of course, you must go see him live when you get the chance, and get dunked in all that bhakti, but this will tide you over till then... Jai!

1. Most beautiful music I've ever heard - Title says it all, it's just so beautiful words can't describe it. I especially like reflections of passion. Just so heartwarming. Whenever I'm stressed or upset, I listen to these songs. They make me enter a world like heaven, no terror, no fear or sadness, only this music warming my sol. I was very very very upset recently because something had happened. I didn't know what to do, so I just browsed the internet out of pure bordom. While browsing, I found yanny, and have been happy ever since. Thank you for all of the wonderful music, it always makes my day.Short form... I LOVE IT!!!!!!! Never gets boring or annoying, I could loop these tracks all my life. Thanks again for the wonderful and heartwarming tracks yanny.

2. Definitive Yanni - My brain has been nagging me to purchase this album ever since I trashed all my pirated music years ago. I've finally done it and love hearing this album again. Yanni is one of the few that is able to give me the keys to my imagination. What amazing daydreams I have when listening.
2012-08-05
3. A MUST HAVE - I recall many, many days and nights of studying in collage. This album was always right there with me. As a lifelong musician myself, I'm completely amazed and glad that Yanni's LATA recording has stood the test of time. I think that every song on this album is well composed, even though he doesn't read music. A musical genius, he is indeed.

1. Favorite - I don't know what it is but seconds of this music and I feel like a baby in a blanket, cuddled by my mother after a warm bath and bottle lol it is magically relaxing. I first heard this cd about years ago and it's still one of my favorites for relaxation, meditation, reiki and massage. After along day put this cd on and you'll be floating on a cloud:)
2010-12-28
2. Excellent for bodywork & massage - At first listen, I wasn't impressed. But while using with my clients, I was able to REALLY incorporate this music into healing. I love the trance and all the different chants and bells. This is definatly a must have for the therapist's tool box. This mp will get alot of play in my treatment room! Most of my sessions are mins so the timing of these tracks are perfect. I can't wait to eventually try out other albums.
2010-05-28
3. BRILLIANT MEDITATION MUSIC - I first found this music in Israel in a Tai Chi class...unmarked except for two words "Shamanic Dream" in someone's handwriting...obviously having been copied and shared. It took me years to actually find Anugama and the original album, thanks to an Internet search, and now this album is my constant compantion. It's briliant, inspired and the rhythms are transportive.
2010-02-11
4. A GREAT relaxation CD - This album is my favorite relaxation CD. Its slow, rhythmic beat mimics the heart and is almost trance-like. First heard this CD in a Restorative Yoga class, but I've recently decided that I'm also going to use this music in the birth of my upcoming baby. Shamanic Dream II is also excellent. These are the two best Anugama CDs.
2009-10-05
5. Excellent for Meditation - This music has taken me to some wonderful places! My meditations seem deeper and I am centered much more quickly. So relaxing, so powerful... My favorite piece is the Chakra Journey. The music changes as it goes thru each color, and I truly feel better after I listen to this. This is a must-have for anytime you are feeling stressed and just need to completely relax!
2009-02-04
6. Relaxing and tranquil without being cheesy - I requested this music at every one of my bi-weekly massage appointments because it helped so much with emptying my mind and concentrating on my body in order to have the best massage. I am using it in the next few weeks for the birth of my second baby, as I have so many associations with it as a relaxing force. It is beautiful and tranquil without seeming formulaic or contrived.

1. Best Chakra CD - I have been listening to this for several years now. And though I have tried other chakra cds, non comes close to this. Moving from root chakra to crown, each set of tones is attuned to the chakra and takes me into a deep meditation with that energy center. After all these years, it is still the cd I turn to when I need to come back to an embodied sense of being centered and grounded. Thank you Ben and Christa.
2015-07-26
2. Tranquilizing - I listened to this during my personal yoga practice at home and found it amazing. I teach yoga at a gym so there is a constant ebb and flow of people coming to class and their energy is often shifty and unfocused. I played this album during my last class and observed my students were much more centered and aware. However, after class I had a few students approach me to say that they did not like this music at all and it was likened to scratching fingernails down a chalkboard. I highly disagree and am willing to bet their ears normally hear nothing past what the radio feeds them. I'm tempted to bring my own singing bowl to class for a live performance next time.
2012-08-30
3. Amazing - If you like Chakra Chants you will love this album. Very clear audio. The noise the one obviously ignorant reviewer was mentioning is the natural overtones of the crystal bowls - if you listen to this type of recording with cheap speakers/headphones they will distort. Pickup a pair of studio quality headphones like the Senn HD's and you will be amazed.
2010-08-02
4. My Favorite & Most Authentic - Great added instrumentation with option of bowl only - If you have held a singing bowl in your hand and made it sing then you'll know how well done this CD is. There is some vibrating - but that is what happens when you play a singing bowl and really keep the tone humming. It takes concentrated fluid motion to keep a bowl singing this long without a lot of vabrational bouncing. This is an excellent and authentic CD.
2009-08-23
5. Authentic and haunting - The extraneous sound that one reviewer is referring to is not a result of poor recording, but of the authentic nature of the instruments being played. The bowls are energized either by percussive means or by rubbing the edges with something like wet leather in order to get the vibration going (not unlike playing crystal goblets with a wet soapy finger). The flutes and other percussive instruments are also authentic, so if you listen carefully, you might pick up some sounds of breath. Also. there is plenty of interplay between harmonics and dissonance, which create some noise inside one's head at times. Again, not the result of poor recording, but of dissonant sonic energies. You might even hear something like sand being swirled in the bowls. This sounds like noise to the western ear, but is just another dimension of what the instruments are capable of. So, if you want to escape from synthesized music, and experience the full range of what these exotic acoustic instruments can do, get this album.

6. Just what I was hoping it would be - Thank you for creating this album! It's perfect to fall asleep to and also as background to create a peaceful and spiritual atmosphere. It truly feels like the artist's number one concern is to affect their listeners in a positive way, and they do a beautiful job of it. Very professional and transcendent at the same time.

1. The album has been out for a long time - The first thing I think of when I look at her is beauty. She is a beautiful woman with eyes that seem to see right through you. She has never produced a bad song ever. She lives in her own castle in Scotland with a personal studio. She is a musical genius able to score, produce, and perform. It blows my mind and haunts my soul when I’m alone with her and her music. “Father In Heaven” in Gaelic Athair Ar Neamh is sometimes used in weddings in an orchestra version.

2. Her Greatest Work Thus Far - Few works of art I have stumbled across have resonated so deeply within my soul. TMOT is simply a journey of mystical and enchanting, heart-touching beauty. Every song takes you far beyond the harsh confines of every day reality. I can imagine endless ethereal soundscapes springing from each track and just want to revel and explore this wondrous world she has created forever and ever. This album will always move me further than I have ever been moved and remains, in my opinion, her strongest work to date. Find yourself amongst all the pieces and enter this new fantastic kingdom of trees of gold.

3. Wonderful!! - Hope Has a Place: /. Beautiful singing, but a bit too repetitive. From Where I Am: /. I appreciated the nice piano. Enya didn't sing, but the title of the song is interesting. It's as if she's sending a peaceful melody from wherever she is.
Tea-House Moon: ./. I love this song. It reminds me of something delightfully strange or mysterious, for some reason. It feels like music I would hear in a dream.
On My Way Home: /. It sounded like the other Enya songs until :, the first chorus. It's very upbeat and a nice touch. This is an amazing song.
La Sonadora: /! I love the mystical feeling I get when I listen to her songs, and this is one of my favorite songs of hers. If I had to recommend one song on this album, this would be it! (But I can't recommend just one song!) I hope to get more songs on this album soon!

4. D-bag album reviewers... - As a HUGE rock n metal fan, I'm not supposed to like this music, but this is just beauty in music form, and who can't appreciate that? ITunes should not use hipper-than-thou "professional" reviewers (who probably gave Kanye West a star review) for this type of music. It's a great disservice to the artist, not to mention bad business practice to make listeners feel stupid for liking something that they don't consider "cool".
Indie-critic-darling bands usually disappear after two records, but Enya will outlast all of them. :)

5. The album I remember the best.. - I decided to check out Enya on Itunes after recalling her songs from The Fellowship of the Ring. For years, I couldn't listen to Enya because it reminded me of my first girlfriend who played her albums all the time. Eventually, I got over that girlfriend but still didn't listen to Enya's music because of the associations. But after listening to May It Be, I wanted to see if the associations lingered. After listening to this album, I'm happy to say that any associations left are good ones. To me, this album is THE Enya album. It totally resonates in my heart. Her other albums are great, especially Watermark, but The Memory of Trees for me is my memory of Enya!

6. Stunning - The main album review at the top needs to be changed. Soulless? You've got to be kidding me. I have been an Enya fan since I was three years old and love her just as much now at age . This album is just as good as all her others. She is one of the few people where I can listen to all of the songs on the album over and over. She is certainly not for everyone, but her music is not "soulless." Please get a new main review for the album. If you are an Enya fan, this album will be just as good to you as the others. I actually did not own the album but realized that I knew many of the songs off the album, so I had to get the album and was immediately pleased. You won't be disappointed. "Hope Has a Place" is my favorite on this album.

7. The Official Reviewer Must Be Soulless! - First of all, Enya uses her voice to stimulate, enhance, and revive our souls through her heavenly music. She has captivated my soul and has helped retrace my life and even enhance it through her works. I think the reviewer is out of touch with her style of new age music. If this person thinks her music is soulless, then I would like to hear what kind of "soul" music this person listens to.

8. Who did you gratify to get this job, since qualified your not. - In the future please spare us from disputable deficient conclusion. Not one listener agrees with you. I like others here, appreciate the time taken in these reviews. They are extremely helpful. As well I have seen some reviews that were not impressed with the paticular work being reviewed. But I did was not insulted and belittled, due to purchaseing the music. You on the other hand have insulted every customer of ITUNES that purchassed TMOT. You wrote, "hushed, lovely and soulless as everything else she has done. You then go on to relate her to angel food cake, due to the lack of nutritive substance. Then go further in saying. Why any one would spend money and buy what amounts to a complete rehash of her earlier work.
What is the matter with you? No really whats your major malfunction? Do not ever take the liberty to insult us again. We are called customers, who keep ITUNES in buisness. Clearly you are clueless about the work of this Enya. Your oppinion should be professional. Not to mention insulting the customers, bad for buisness. How many sales have you lost due to your lack of professionalism. In the future exercise some self control. Review the work, not insult the artist & buyers. In todays econmy, loosing sales makes you an idiot. Wonder if I would be insulted by Rapsody for purchasing Enya. You do not like what I've written? Well how does it feel to have your entire position belittled due to one review? Think about it. Now as for the album, I have loved it since I bought it in the 's. It is amazing no doubt one of her best in my oppinion. Many hours listening and loveing TMOT. Thanks ITUNES for adding it. I too like others here, wrote and begged for this one. Thanks for listening.

9. What the heck is wrong with the review?! - I think this is one of Enya's best albums, so relaxing and emotional and heartfelt. Great for winding down after a long day or playing as background music... even for normal listening it's hard to fail with this album! iTunes, you need to rethink who writes your reviews because this album is AMAZING.
2009-11-05
10. The description writer needs a vacation, 'nuff said... - I find myself nodding at the descriptions of albums in iTunes SO OFTEN. If they are looking for an excuse to not have included this album in their collection sooner, it is quite a lame one if you ask me. There are perhaps songs in this album I would consider are not her best. I am not one to end up hurting someone's feelings by mentioning them. I am a strong believer that it is up to people to decide what they like. My favorite has got to be Once You Had Gold. And there is NO Enya album that is not worth having. All of her albums are well put together and are definitely worth having, this is no exception. If you are an Enya fan, or just a person who is getting into New Age and Ambient music, ignore the description and take the reviews we wrote instead. The Memory of Trees has astounding reviews in the web, all those people couldn't be wrong.

11. Great album, bad review. - The songs on here are completely different than that of the newer albums, in a good way. The flowing melody along with Enya's soulful voice are truly unique, something no one else can accomplish. This music is very good for relaxing and really helps to relieve stress. Who ever wrote the official review sounds halfhearted. It's our money we are deciding to spend and they should try to convince us that this is a good album to buy. If I was not an Enya fan and saw the review I would not think that I would want to buy anything this album. iTunes is costing itself money by writing reviews like this.
2009-03-18
12. Ignore the iTunes review. _ - This album is different from the prior ones. Not instrumentally nor vocally, but lyrically. It is a very incantatory album. In other words, there is a lot of chanting and repetition, to a degree where the whole album almost sounds like she's reciting straight out of some sort of mythical spell book. Of all her albums, it is the most perfect for a true New Age fan.

13. as always, enya adds a bit of heavan to the real world. - How can you go wrong with TMOT? There's powerful peices like Pax Deorum that connect us with our ancient past, and the gentle beauty of peices like China Roses wich are good for soothing and relaxing in a world that's all about movement. As with all of Enya's albums, completely gorgeous, and completly woth the money!

14. It's Enya, come on - I love Enya. Even though I am a rocker I love her, because she has something that's universally...good. But come on iTunes, who the heck writes your reviews? Enya SOULLESS? How is music that sounds like heaven and is inspired by our ancestors, soulless? Maybe these tracks sound simular, but this is kind of like, a concept album, tracks are supposed to flow, not jar. Look at the top of the moment pop hits for soulless. This reviewer was not only unobservant, he probably has never even listened to anything Enya does, especially gems like "The Memory of Trees" and "Athair Ar Neamh". He makes her sound trite and trend-following like the rest of our "top artists". Come on.

15. One of My Favorites! - I'm so glad they put up this album after I had a hard time getting songs from here. My absoulute favorite song is Anywhere Is because it is very up-to-the-point to where you can't resist dancing to it (while other songs, such as China Roses, calm you down). Now if only iTunes put A Day Without Rain back up...and put up a wallpaper with the trademark logo, everything would be perfect!
2008-11-27
16. Finally! - Memory of Trees was never on iTunes-- until now! I love this album. Most of the great songs have been on Paint the Sky with Stars already but there are some great ones that are new to iTunes. "Tea-House Moon" reminds me of aliens but it's enchanting. "Pax Deorum" is... it's one of the most sinister song of Enya ever, very dark and apocalyptic, very enchanting. I love "China Roses", the vibrant delightful "Anywhere Is", and the happy-to-be-alive "On My Way Home". I don't know why the main review implies that this Album is not good, It does-- it ROCKS!!! "Memory of Trees" (the song) is also beautiful, reminds me of being in heaven.

1. Best sounds of nature! - I don't normally buy stuff like this, but I needed something to help drown out background noise while sleeping or reading. I looked at TONS of albums on the iTunes store before I found this one and this was the only one that has water sounds that sounded real! In the others the water sounds fake, too loud, or too sharp to be relaxing. The tracks on this album are great and sound like someone actually took time to get HIGH QUALITY recordings of nature that make you feel like you are there, not like some of them that sound like someone took a hand-held cassette recorder and ran down the beach to record the sound of waves!

2. Too many bugs - Yo -- enough with the bugs already! I bought this to play in my baby's room at night, and she's down with it but her room is next to my room and the bug sounds get pretty tiresome after a while, esp. in the Night On the Lake (my husband's fave) and Babbling Brook (what is that meowing kitten sound in that one? Every time, I think my cat is outside the window, wanting in. NOT very relaxing!) I think the Winds and the Ocean go pretty easy on the bugs but they got the periodic loud squawking bird action. I keep thinking it's my daughter squawkin' and it wakes me up. Thunder/Rain WOULD be my favorite but it needs more rain and, again, less bugs. All in all, this is pretty good, and as I've said my three month old is not noticably bothered by it so I'll keep listening.

3. Thunder/Rain - I enjoy the snipet very much and it helps me sleep. The rain builds and the thunder and rain are heavy in the first half. The second half is mainly rain and very little thunder. The one thing I would like more would have been more distant thunder and less wildlife. I get a little creeped out by some of the chirps.

1. Guided Meditation/Healing Meditation - I love this meditation! I've had a part of it for years now (I got it back when you could get free MP's from different places). I liked it right away, then in the process of moving and switching phones had lost it for a while. Then, when I dumped all my music from my old PC to my laptop, I found it again! But it had been re-transferred to so many devices that the file wasn't in the greatest of shape. So I'm actually purchasing the whole album now, so I can keep using it. Cancer and chemotherapy has left me a severe insomniac, and even when I'm really tired, the constant ringing in my ears can keep me awake. Kelly's voice and the soothing tones override that ringing and I think there's only been a couple of times that I have heard the very end of this album! Of course, I only had the guided meditation, not the following track, so that will be new to me. Keep up the great work, Kelly!

2. Not Relaxing - I did not care for this meditation CD. It had a little too much talking and what I thought was a disturbing audio presentation of multiple "split-level" messages that are played into your left ear, right ear and center ALL at the same time. This type of audio is very disruptive to me and not relaxing at all. I will not be adding this to my meditation library.
2011-05-16
3. Healing Meditation by Kelly Howell - Love this album however the technical quality leaves something to be desired. In either the left or right channel at various times there is crackling noise that drives me bonkers. I will try to denoise the entire minutes in Adobe Audition. Is that why I see a "Remastered" version?

4. Must have it cures!!! - I have been doing self hypnosis for many years and by far this is one of the best productions I have heard the sound quality , the music and the seducing voice really gets you into trance quickly and deeply!! Exactly what anyone is looking for in hypnosis. On a personal note I overcame a big medical diagnosis with the help of self hypnosis , acupuncture and adjustments to my lifestyle !! Always with the supervision of my Doctors !!! but I kept it as natural as possible to the point of no medication needed and completely cured!! I highly recommend you try this CD in conjunction with your medical treatment you will definitely heal faster!!!

5. Kelly Howell Healing Meditation - I simply love this CD! The guided meditation is fabulous and puts me in a place of deep rest, relaxation and healing. The Music and Delta Brain Wave Therapy (music only) is incredible and I find myself very deep within in only a matter of minutes. I actually fell asleep while waiting for someone at the doctor's office and felt refreshed, etc. on the way home. Wonderful CD if you need to slow down, regroup, focus, balance and don't know where to begin. Kelly Howell makes it both easy and enjoyable. A !

6. Thank You Kelly!!!! - I truly love this cd as it is sooo relaxing and just the way she guides a person into deep relaxation is wonderful! I always feel like I go on such a wonderful journey with her expertise! She really is helping me in my stressful life. I hope she comes out with much moore guided meditations. I swear my dark circles are gone. Yea! Maybe someday due to her, I will not need botox! Ha!!!

7. Really, really good, especially for first-timers. - I had never done any real meditation before but the first half of the album really guides you through it. Kelly Howell's voice is very guiding and soothing, the music is comforting, and I actually felt relaxed in the end (and I'm a restless type of person, heh). Although I have somewhat of an issue with the price ($. seems a little pricy), this is definitely a very recommended album for first-time meditators or for just those looking to really relax.

8. Great! - I have been newly suffering from insomnia. My Dr thinks brought on by a virus. I am on meds to help me sleep. He also recommeded I meditate. I found Kelly's items and I downloaded the Healing Meditation. The next morning I woke up in a fantastic mood. I worked all day in my stressful job and was still in a good mode. Nothing got me down. The next days wasn't as good but I am not expecting an overnight miracle. I catch myself about to be negative and I actually stop myself. I enjoy my kids now instead of feeling like all they do is drain my energy.

9. Highly Recommended - Although I only listened to this album once, and I was interrupted by my year old mid-way, it was very stimulating. All I can say is thank you Kelly Howell. I can't wait to listen again. She was almost better than Wayne Dyer. Dr. Wayne Dyer is a very prolific writer and speaker.

10. Amazing - Kelly, if you are reading this, I want to let you know how this audio has helped me so much. Not only has it helped calm me due to back pains, but it also led me to see an angel. The strange thing is that I am a Buddhist, not a Christian. I don't really think about nor really particularly believe in angel. But the end of the guided meditation, I am able to speak to my angel, who has given me tremendous hope, and advice. Thank you for allowing this to happen!

11. HEALING MEDITATION - Incredible results! I fell asleep with headphones at night and awoke the next morning feeling alive and refreshed like I never have before. It is truly amazing. It doesn't have to difficult or take a long time to feel good and be successful. The science behind the meditation is awesome. I have bought nearly all of her albums. Her voice and message is so soothing. Must have this album and The Secret Meditation album.

1. Yanni is... - I grew up listening to his music, and every time i listen to one of his songs preferably Flight of Fantasy, all i can think about is my child hood, his music made me calm and relaxed and he brings such a good feeling to your life. I love listening to all music but there are always the special musicians who bring people to life with their passion in music.
2011-03-28
2. Good, but there's much better music out there - I'm not as big on Yanni as I once was back in the day. Maybe because a whole new generation of instrumental music is available that in my opinion is far superior. But there are still a few Yanni pieces that I love - One Man's Dream and In the Morning Light are two of them. His best album is Live at the Acropolis. With each instrument of the orchestra individually mic'd, it is a masterfully sweeping and stirring listening experience. If you're a fan of orchestral music, you will love that one. Also check out some composers like Jan A.P. Kacamarek, Ludovico Einaudi and a new favorite of mine that I recently stumbled across, "Beginnings" by Josh Kramer. These are full of passion, more so than the album I'm currently reviewing.

1. Some titles don't play - After several attempts to play the "Deep Sleep" title, and failing. I have to say, this isn't that great! It keeps skipping to the "Relaxation" title, which then starts the "Blow Dryer" after only a few minutes. Not very relaxing when I want to play this through the night for some sleep.

1. I have such good memories of the first two songs on this album - My teacher in th grade used to play this album while we were writing so that we could get more creative with what we wrote. The first song worked itself into my head so deeply that I went and bought it recently so that I could have it for myself. And soon, Oh of Pleasure tagged along as that song delivers such calming imagery to my mind and just oh goodness I love it!! Buy this album, even if you only have heard two songs on it or all of them! Also, these stories I see of people’s experiences with this album make me love it more!

2. Tranquil Beauty in sound! - I heard this for the first time on a road trip with my aunt when I was in my s I think, and I just loved it! I bought the cd a little while later, and played it for a boyfriend, and it's amazing for making love! Then I lost the cd when I moved and for years forgot about it, till it popped in head and I thought this amazing album called "Breakfast" something...search iTunes for "Breakfast" and just bought it! This album is timeless and gorgeous! Thanks Ray Lynch!

3. Another childhood memory - Wow. Just like a few others here, I used to listen to this on an album (really- not even a tape or CD!) as a kid on my parents' stereo. It was my background noise for the complete Sherlock Holmes and The Lord of the Rings and I remember the music to this day. Now it will be during newspapers and my nighttime computer work. Timeless.

4. Thanks, NPR - I first heard Celestial Soda Pop on NPR back in the early ’s when they used the song as theme music within their morning All Things Considered news show. Fortunately, the announcer quickly answered my own silent query when, one day, she identified the song and the artist after many listener call-ins asking…”what is that wonderful music?” Needless to say, I headed to Best Buy to buy the CD. I’m listening to it now…with headphones (not the CD - that’s long gone, but a nice download MP).

5. Art Bell Sent Me - I see many here listened to this album when they were kids and alas my psychotherapist aunt DID have this album but I wasn't aware until many years later. I was turned on to this music by Art Bell, and his old Dreamland show. "The Oh Of Pleasure" was the opening theme song and the way song mystified me when I first heard it back in made me purchase this. The record is amazing and I'm really digging this "'s new age meditation / relax" music

6. Falling in the Garden... - I first heard this album in my sophomore year of high school. So taken was I by the song that I spent the following week and a half learning how to play it on piano. years later, I still remember the song, even though the tape was lost years ago. That is, until i went looking for it again on iTunes...surprised puts it mildly.

7. Beautiful Magic - It's funny I never forgot this haunting beautiful album. I actually found an old cassette tape and began to play the tape. Imagine my surprise when I realized I had found a treasure lost. I listened to this album everyday for years continuously in the background sometimes foreground as a music track of my life. The world is a magical. D

8. GREAT - my th grade teacher would put this music on softly when we got back from recess to calm us down and get ready for the second part of the day, and I was mesmerized by it and would pay attention to the music instead of my work.So one afternoon I go up to her and ask her what the album was called she said deep breakfast so I go home and listen to the previews and find the song that I wad memorized by celestial soda pop and now it really calms me down .so thanks

9. Deep Breakfast - This is not "fall asleep in the hot-tub music"…far from it. Well crafted, downright clever and able to challenge the listener without being stuffy and pretentious. It was a sonic teat when it first came out (I have all Ray's records from when they were giant pieces of vinyl and then bought the CDs as soon as they became available) and these days, sounds GREAT on a modern sound system! That "new age" classification might be a bit dated, today this music could fall into several categories and still hold its own.

10. Best Electronic Music - I love the song: "The Oh Of Pleasure" featured on this album. I found out about it while working with Jared Hess on the film Gentleman Broncos in and have enjoyed it ever since. Recently, I had an opportunity to work with Kathleen Lynch on a promo video and she was both supportive and helpful. I highly recommend this album if you like authentic electronic music like I do.

11. Timeless - I've always enjoyed listening to this album from when I first purchased it in . I don't have a favorite cut, they are all perfectly delightful. One of my fondest memories of listening to his music, that I'd always wanted to share with Ray Lynch, but back in , from the time this story took place, there wasn't a way to communicate this story to him. I worked with developmentally disabled adults. The group I worked with were physically challenged and sat in their wheel chairs or in bed. By mid day, it was time for them to lay in their beds for a rest or nap. I found when I played Deep Breakfast for them, they appeared to be more alert than the other music I'd play. I started playing it every day at the same time and it became a routine for all of us. After a few weeks of playing Deep Breakfast every day, it was startling to see how much they were relaxed as I got them into bed. Their bodies were so much easier to move to change their clothes. The best part of this story is those who could vocalize, started smiling and humming or cooing while listening. Smiling, humming and cooing was unusual for them and certainly had everything to do with the phrases and beautiful harmonies of Ray Lynch's deeply moving music. After reading this review and you decide to purchase Deep Breakfast, I think you will find it Deep(ly) moving, easy to listen to and hopefully pass it on to your friends and family... it's timeless!!

12. This takes me WAY back! - When I previewed these tracks, I was hit with a flashback of the mid-s and listening to this on an LP. I ended up getting it on a cassette and quickly degraded the tape from repeated use! Glad to see this in digital form and selling well years later. The upbeat, funky electronic music appears to stand the test of time. Well worth the purchase.

13. Stirring to the soul - Like the others before me have said, I listened to this as a child and it had a profound impact on me. I would try to listen to this to help me sleep, but for me it had the opposite effect. I found the music so intricate and stimulating that I would listen with such an intensity that it would continue to keep me awake! The music brought forth such deep emotion that it would sometimes bring me to tears! That may sound ridiculous, but there was just something about these tracks that seemed......transcendent. I am truly fascinated that others were affected in a similar way as I was as a child. I think it was because of this type of music that I like artists like sleepthief and conjure one.

14. add one more - love the solidarity of those returning to this one! - So the CD was my father's and as a teenager I'd come back to it frequently. I decided a year ago I needed to find my own copies on iTunes of some of the borrowed music that accompanied my adolescence. After - years I know it note for note. So many other reivewers have said the same, so sorry this is a blatant "me too" post. This may be the one and only "new age" album in my collection. Otherwise I never look for new age - it's just very well done - good music. Anyone reading these who isn't coming back to it, trust us.

15. Deep Breakfast - Celestial Soda Pop - "Celestial Soda Pop" changed my life. How? I remember exactly where I was years ago when I first heard it on the radio...driving south through Muskogee, Oklahoma. It came on and I shouted in the car, "HEY! WHAT'S THAT?! I didn't catch the title or artist at the time, but some time later heard it again, immediately went out and bought the cassette, and that started me on an entirely new music genre - New Age, and I've been listening ever since to "ethereal" music. Always loved that slightly damped string sound, even though Lynch used a synthesizer - it had a similar sound. Interesting that so many reviewers recall it with affection from their childhood - perhaps I should play it for my grandson and give him some good memories, too. Thank you, Mr. Lynch.

16. My memories of this music - The first time I ever heard Ray Lynch was when I went to the Lowry Park Zoo in Tampa, FL when I was about years old. I remember it like it was yesterday....I was in the manatee exhibit when I heard "The Oh of Pleasure." This music has haunted me ever since. Whenever I listen to that song, I think of that moment. To me, Track will always be "The Manatee Song." In fact, if you go there today, I think they still play that song once in a while.

1. Amazing-a preview of heaven - My wife and I have seen this brillant artist twice. In an age of electronic music to see him and his Cellist Cameron Stone together on stage is quite an experience. His brilliant arrangements of classic hymn are absolutely works of art. Near the Cross is an amazing piece of piano playing Come thou fount is among my top five ever played songs of all times. His arrangement in conjunction iwth the beautiful cello and piano gives me goosebumps. thank you for your amazing skill and devotion to some of the most classical works of Christian Hymns. We have most if not all of your albumns and we have a Fernando playlist with all of your songs when I need to just take a break from this world. I fell in love with the cello and classic piano after see Fernando perform. Thank you for this slice of heaven on earth

2. Amazing, powerful, restful! - This album is amazing. Unfortunately I do not own it, however, I hear it on Pandora often. Every time one of its songs I think, "Wow, this is exactly what I'm looking for in the Hymns channel!" Each of these moments comes from this album. It puts me in a truly restful, worship-filled mood.

3. Almost as good as live this side of heaven - I have seen Fernando twice in concert. I have personally fell in love with the concert piano and Cello because of him. His arrangements of some of the classic hymns are absolutely priceless. He keeps the integrity and majesty of some the old hymns while being able to present the music where the focus is not on the musician by on praising a wonderful God. Currently Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing is the number song on our family playlist. It is an absolutely magical arrangement of the song. It was not until I heard his arrangement of the song that I truly understood the words. His arrangements and music touch my soul every time I hear him. I tell everyone who will listen, I think the Chello is what heaven must sound like. Classic hymns presented in a classic and reverant style. To the Christian who wants to honor the history of the hymns without the old "organy" feel of the church you grew up in, this is the album.

4. AMAZING - This album should be rated out of stars. The album is that amazing. Very smooth cello playing! "Softly and Tenderly" is my favorite!! Love to listen to this music all the time. This is a must have for any good collection of Christian music. May the Lord bless you in your work, Fernando Ortega.

5. Beginnings - I have been listening to F Ortega since acquiring an IPOD. I use Pandora. Aftern listening to Mr. Ortega again today I just had to have at least one of his albums downloaded to my IPOD. I WILL get more. He has the most beautiful music I have ever heard. Up there with JMT. It is gentle, peaceful, prayerful, transforming and delightful. I recommend his work to anyone! If you need peace, take a listen.

6. Reflective, worshipful - Really? Someone heard tracks that they considered "rocky"? We must have widely different frames of reference. I only hear contemplative songs. I can't say I've ever heard anything I would call "rock" from Fernando Ortega-- one reason why I turn on his stuff when I'm ready for some peace. As usual, Fernando's arrangements are exceptionally pleasing. Perfect for driving in the mountains, thinking, praying and worshiping.

7. Shame on you itunes!!! - I could have missed the blessing of this mans music because it is labeled under new age....If you are tired of the pouty faced, pretty boys in tight jeans, it all sounds the same, Christian music and want to listen to some amazing peaceful music then buy this album...I would have paid double the price to have it in my collection

8. Beginnings by Fernando Ortega - Fernando Ortega's Beginnings is just what praise and worship music should be: a blessing. A range of music from the standards we grew up trying to sing harmony to next to our folks in church to newer pieces that hopefully our kids will try to do the same thing at our side. He sings with a pure tender voice. True and affirming. Imagine waking up each morning and being able to sing praises like this. And that he's sharing it with us is better still.

1. Helpful for me - I have a very disruptive sleep disorder brought on by pain in my back. It causes me to jerk awake right as I fall asleep. I have tried lots of things to get past this, but this cd is the first thing that's showing promising results. Each night I use it I feel it works more effectively. I slept for a few hours for the first time in weeks the first time I used it & now after a week I'm getting around hours. I also feel more rested during the day. I notice that I'm falling asleep before the session ends now, too. As for the voice coming back on after moments of silence, I recommend just turning the volume low so you can just barely make out his words...this worked for me & I was no longer jerked back awake.

2. I LOVE this! - I can not say enough wonderful things about the Deep Sleep Journey. I wish I had found this during my years of insomnia. I find that I have to visualize the directions he gives at the beginning (notice what is above you... and imagining myself actually going down the stairs) and I am asleep FAST. I find the message on this to be very kind, gentle, relaxing, and feel safe listening to it. I like that he mentions that if there is any need to wake up that that will happen easily because I worried that I would be too deeply asleep to know if there was an emergency or something, but no-I have even woken up to use the restroom and gone back to a restful sleep. I created a playlist with the minute relation track and even minutes of white noise first and then have Deep Sleep twice. I never hear the second one, but this helps me relax knowing it is there. if I am awake by the "bottom of the stairs" sometimes I will start the playlist over. I just feel I need a few minutes to relax before starting Deep Sleep playing for it to work for me. I love it so much that I even bought it for friends. Highly recommend. :) Edit: I can see what others mention about him starting talking after a period of quiet and for me I don't react to that since I have listened so many times. If the stopping and starting bother you maybe try to listen a few times awake to get the flow of it all and not be startled/surprised when he speaks again. I agree to only have one track from this play at a session. As I mention earlier, I added a white noise track to go before Deep Sleep Journey or other times I add minute rescue from his other album before Deep Sleep Journey. I just like to take a few minutes to slow my breathing down and clear my mind before going down the stairs. :)

3. I slept like a log! Tracks great nights of restful sleep :-) - Each night I listened to one of the three tracks. I only ever heard about - minutes of each one as I was fast asleep and slept through the night. So far I've had four great nights rest. One night I forgot to set the iPod to play only the one track and I awakened for a moment as the next track played. It's good to remember to play only one at a time, which I believe is the intention. Thanks :-)

4. Soothing voice, very effective technique - After experiencing a lot of sleep difficulties and trying/not succeeding with various "sound" remedies (i.e., white noise, guided meditations, etc.), I was pretty desperate. I don't know how I found this CD, but I am very glad I did. Dr. Shah's gentle voice and technique are extremely effective - for the first time in years I am able to get a full night's sleep. The most productive part of the st and rd track is his assurance that should I wake up in the middle of the night, I will be able to get back to sleep ... this has been extremely helpful. Highly recommend.

5. Not for me - Personally I find Dr. Shah's voice more distracting than helpful. He doesn't have the ease of speaking that I would expect to hear with a meditation guide. There are times when he actually breaks me out of the meditation because of how choppy his phrases and words are. Check out Dr. Andrew Johnson's apps "Relax with Andrew Johnson" and "Deep Sleep with Andrew Johnson". He's amazing and his voice is like warm brandy!

6. Every Single Night! - My boyfriend and I both have severe ADHD and this guys album helps us both fall asleep within minutes of listening to him. Your entire body becomes quiet, mind is still, and his words will soothe your soul in many different ways. We highly reccomend purchacing this album if you want to feel completely relaxed!

7. The great reviews are true! - I feel I have much in common with the other reviewers i.e. trouble sleeping, don't want medications, racing thoughts at nights etc...The reviews are true. I was skeptical but I have rarely made it through a session without passing out before the end. The more stressed I am, the faster it works! Worth my money!

8. Good but needs improvement - It puts me to sleep in a short time but Dr Siddharth’s voice is interrupting and waking me up each time he starts to talk again. This is because his voice enters after a period of quit music or silence. If the level of the music and his voice were similar and continuance it would have been an excellent sleep meditation enhancer.

9. Great for travelling - As a international traveller who goes to europe and asia every year, I have found putting this album on my iPod has been indespensible to help me with jet lag and stress not only when I arrive at a new destination but during the long intercontinental flights. I put each sleep aid in a separate playlist so that when it finishes, and I am asleep, it does not continue on to the next sleep aid. My favorite: Yoga Nidra!
2009-07-27
10. Sleep Aid With Dr. Siddharth - Three separate sleep hypnosis sessions in this album, each session lasting - minutes. Series in this album (approx minutes was a waste-did not put me to sleep). The other two were outstanding. After listening to these sessions, I found out of times, I was able to sleep sound and deep. I'd recommend. It's worth the $..

11. Hummm...not for me I am afraid..... - This fellow's voice, while pleasant, made me crazy. It interrupted my peace and kept me awake! It is particularly annoying to be conked out at the end of the first passage only to have him startle you back into reality when he begins to speak in the next piece. Sorry this approach just does not work for me. I prefer just plain repitious sounds with no distractions.
2009-03-04
12. Thank You DR. Shah - I'm really glad I found this CD. I always struggle with going to sleep and have been on medication for over a year. I will try almost anything to help me go to sleep and I'm so happy I found this CD! It has really help me to get calm and relaxed and to understand how to achieve this state every night. Since I started listening to the cd I have been falling asleep sooner and staying asleep longer. I still take my medication but hope to get off it soon and think I can if I keep following Dr Shah's technique I will very soon.
2009-01-16
13. Amazing... - ...simply amazing. Again, I find this is not as much a hypnosis CD as a guided meditation (exactly what Yoga Nidra for beginners should be), but this is amazing content none-the-less. I find I gain a more restful sleep after listening to Dr. Shah's calm, steady (and never monotone) voice. Kudos!

14. Music for Deep Sleep - Yoga Nidra, which may be translated as "yogic sleep", is a guided visualization technique that induces full-body relaxation and deep meditative state of consciousness. Dr. Shah uses Yoga Nidra as an invitation for the participant to experience the aliveness of the entire body, opening the participant to deep and meaningful change. This top-selling, CD set from MUSIC FOR DEEP SLEEP integrates effective and powerful self-hypnosis and meditation techniques. Using subtle, pleasant narration and a calming background of nature sounds, it takes the listener on a journey toward peace, rest and replenishment. Dr. Siddharth Ashvin Shah's Sleep Aid Series combines proven elements of modern Western and traditional Eastern thought into a blend of self-hypnosis, meditation and Yoga Nidra - the ancient art of intentional relaxation. This unique cross-pollination of the scientific and the spiritual will ease even the most restless and weary minds. Dr. Shah's even, calm voice leads you on as you explore the depths of peaceful rest and a natural deep sleep. The soothing sounds of ocean waves and tamboura blend into your consciousness, giving you an experience unlike any other.

15. Effective way to have deep sleep and get rid of stress - I can attest that a regular practice of meditation definitely helps get rid of stress and has made me more calm and free. No tapes are necessary really for meditating, just focus on your breath or the aliveness of your body, but still wonderful tools like this one are really effective. The instructions are clear, the voice is very pleasant and the meditations are done very well with high production value. Very well done.

16. wow! - I am amazed and fascinated by this. I always wake up in the middle of the night tossing and turning. The problem has been solved. My steps is a winding staircase onto the beach and my choice between sleep and relaxation is a hammock or a comfy chair with a book. It seems as soon as I even "look" in the direction of the hammock.... it's morning. wow! Fascinated as to how this works. Thankyou!!

1. love... - I absolutly adore this album! it puts me to sleep at night, it calms and soothes me when im stressed, it takes my mind off things when im frustrated, almost every song on just this album alone has good rythem for ballroom dancing, and soo much more!! I Love This Album and so many others buy him!!
2013-06-18
2. Amazing Songs! - I heard of his music on Pandora and I fell in love with every song on this album. I would buy every song if I had ten dollars to spare. Each song is worth listening to. They all bring forth different emotions and, for a person who rarely listens to piano music like me, it really changed how I feel about music like this. I will eventually get every piece. Wonderful music!!

3. Simple, yet captivating - None of the songs on this album are technically complex, but their simplicity doesn't make this a dull album. Instead, it serves to showcase the haunting and beautiful melodies. Philip's playing is emotional and dramatic. I love listening to this album - it is simplicity and artistry lovingly mixed. The sheet music is available on Philip Wesley's website and playing the music is almost as much fun as listening to it.

4. Simply Incredible - Amazing album, all of the pieces are absolutely beautiful. They're all so dark and mysterious, founding full (as opposed to delicate) and with heavy use of the lower end of the piano. My total favourite is Darkness Falls (which I'm currently learning to play), though I recommend to anyone to purchase the album in its entirety. Philip Wesley's best so far!

5. Philip Wesley's Best Album Yet - “Dark Night of the Soul” is Philip Wesley’s fourth solo piano CD and his first in three years. As the title suggests, quite a bit of the music is dark and turbulent, but it is never without hope or a sense of moving forward. Some of the pieces are quite energetic while others are calm and reflective. I have reviewed Wesley’s previous albums, and think this is his best CD to date. It is a very solid, very expressive album, beautifully engineered by Michael Dulin at his PSI Recording Studio in Birmingham, Alabama. David Lanz has always had a strong influence on Wesley’s music, and I recognize short phrases from Lanz’s music mixed into Wesley’s pieces, but perhaps since I play and teach so much of Lanz’s sheet music, it’s only me who hears this. “Tears of the East” begins the CD. The opening bars are a rumble from the low end of the piano followed by a Middle-Eastern-style introduction. The piece itself conveys longing and melancholy - an eloquent beginning. “Racing Against the Sunset” has a powerful energy and a feeling of urgency. I really like this one and think it would be fun to play! “The Approaching Night” is delicate and sparkling, like watching the stars emerge in the darkening sky - also a beauty. The title track is kind of a soliloquy - very lonely, deeply emotional, and honest - and is one of Wesley’s best pieces to date. “Lamentations Of the Heart” first appeared on Wesley’s “Finding Solace,” and is one of his most popular pieces - with good reason. I enjoy playing and teaching this piece, too! “Light and Shadow” is another favorite. It has a swirling energy that dances around in the upper registers of the piano, yet it is very calming and soulful. Perhaps the high dancing notes represent the light and the lower, more subtle passages are the shadow - very effective. The graceful and flowing “Into the Light” carries a sense of unburdening and breaking through after a difficult period of life. “New Day” is full of hope and anticipation for a fresh start - lovely! “Two Souls” concludes the CD with a wistful, dreamy piece that is more ambient than the others. Reflective and warm, it’s a bittersweet and satisfying finish. “Dark Night of the Soul” is a great choice if you are looking for powerful but reflective solo piano music. Recommended!

1. Well done album! - I'm not normally an instrumental music fan, but this guy is great. A girl once played "Angel Eyes" at church and I have learnt to play it myself because I was so captivated by the melody. Also, when I was a little kid, someone sang "Love of My Life" at my cousin's wedding and it always stuck with me. Good job Jim Brickman!
2011-09-26
2. Love the Variety of Vocalists - First of all, to answer a previously-posted question, the female vocalist on "The Gift" is Susan Ashton. She has done some fabulous Contemporary Christian albums and a mediocre Country one. She needs to get back in the studio and do some more! This greatest hits collection is a great sample of Jim Brickman's music. It whets my appetite when I'm looking to relax but not fall asleep. It's a great introduction for someone who is not familar with Mr. Brickman's vast catalog. I have several of his albums and love them all.

1. just right the way it is - As a yoga instructor, I'm always looking for more music to add to my library for my classes. With most yoga albums, there a few songs I like, and a few songs I don't. I usually end up just making my own mixes. This is the first album I've found where I actually like every single song on it. It has great rhythms and beats, without distracting my students. It has music for every part of my class. Stretching, meditating, flowing from pose to pose etc. I was VERY pleased with this album.

2. This is perfect for yoga! - I was looking for some nice music to do my yoga to and this is actually better than what I had hoped for. It is soothing and mellow but at the same time has a build and a "loungy" groove beat. I find myself listening to it when I just want to chill out but not fall asleep. "Chakra Rhythm" is the best song. It is mellow but moving.

3. Yoga Groove Is Fabulous! - I listen to this album when I'm studying and when I just want to relax, meditate or contemplate life. It has a lively, yet relaxing beat. I don't find myself getting distracted by the music when I need some background noise to study, however, there's a definite rhythm that moves you. I love it!!!

1. Musical Ecstasy - I love Enya's music. This album is unique in that its quiet simplicity makes for an experience that is magical in a different way than the rest of her albums. Enya is very Irish, and this albim is fittingly devoted to Celtic-style music. My favorites are The Celts, Aldebaran, Epona, and The Sun in the Stream. I used to listen to pop music, but I remembered that I still had a few Ehya songs on my iPod that I had almost forgotten about. I listened to them again and remembered how much I loved her music. I made the switch to New Age, World, and other cultural and meditative music. Enya is my all-time favorite artist, and one word describes her music: ENCHANTING.

2. UNBELIEVABLE ! - Enya's voice is so beautiful her songs can make a difference in someones life.It made a difference in mine.I use to only listen to techno and pop and say that any kind of slow music was depressing. But when i heard one of enya's songs i fell in love with her music .And now im actually a little more calm.Try this album it could be the change your looking for!

2. It won't let me select half of a star - Unfortunately there is an obvious feeling of a lack in attention to detail. It is a great value by cost per minute standards but that is it. I have never ever ever heard a relaxing, meditation, reiki, yoga, spa, massage, or sleep track where somebody's sprinkler system is recorded.
2016-07-29
3. Astonishing! - I've been looking for music for a week now that would help relax me in my down time and also help me get a deeper sleep. Stuff on Pandora is just kind of noisy with excessive instruments and what not. And everything on YouTube is hrs long. Lol I finally gave in on spending money for decent music specifically to my taste. Half of these songs have instruments. (The actual songs) Half don't. (Nature sounds) Some are blended together like camp fire/thunderstorm. (Genius!) And their minutes long instead of : like a lot of other albums. for $.. Bravo iTunes! Bravo!

4. Top of My List !!! - Almost a day and a half of incredible tracks for .. I've paid twice as much for only an hours worth. Pick your favorite and put it on repeat, or listen to them all. You can't go wrong. One of the best sound effects with soothing musical notes I've heard. If this doesn't calm your nerves, nothing will.

1. Perfect (Almost) - Crystal clear sound, no muffled highs. Mostly consists of gentle rain in the foreground and rolling thunder in the background. I don't notice sample loops or other annoying repeating patterns. I can put this album on replay and study or work for many hours at a time. My experience is that the sound is close enough in complexity to classical music (see Mozart effect), but it doesn't grab my attention (admiration?) as much, making it easier for me to concentrate consistently. I don't know what the "D" apsect really means... maybe it refers to the clarity? I listen with Sennheiser HD headphones and they tend to bring out the nuances, even when plugged into an iPhone. There is a sort of spatial feeling to the sound, but it's not annoying. Maybe it's just a digital effect added to the recording, but I prefer to think that it was recorded with two microphones set apart to catch the sound in a way similar to natural hearing. The one caveat is that there are several sharp and shrill thunderclaps in each track. If you fall asleep while listening, you will be startled awake. If you're studying/working, you will get annoyed after a while. Maybe i'll dump the tracks into Garage Band and edit these parts out, then it would be PERFECT!
2013-11-22
2. Do Not Waste Your Money on This! - I purchased this because my fiance wanted a soundscape for her iPod. She does not have an iPhone, which has any number of reasonably priced apps for soundscapes like beach sounds, rainstorms, etc. The nerve of Cerwin Music Group to charge $ for two boring tracks of rainstorms! This is worth $. if anything. And they are a good MB combined! However I had no choice since she wanted simple sounds of rain. I should record the sound of $ being thrown out the window. That would be a more accurate review of this purchase. Never again! Believe me --- search the net and you'll find something cheaper and better.
2011-06-05
3. use headphones - Very realistic and definitely makes for great white noise. Great for sleeping, relaxing and drowning out roommates when trying to study. However, listening with headphones is better than on a laptop. I was actually a little disappointed that the rain sounded like static through my Mac laptop (maybe the quality of the speaker is not as good i guess). But it's definitely more realistic if you have a good pair of headphones or speakers.

4. Wish I didn't have to spend $ bucks on it!!! - I would love to listen to the rolling thunder of this soundtrack. But why pay $??? Nature gives us this beautiful sounds to enjoy for free, and I would love to enjoy it. I would understand paying a buck, but $!!! But I do give credit, this is one of the more realistic thunderstorms I've heard throughout my browsing of iTunes.
2009-08-02
5. WOW! thats nice - I love thunderstorms.... We don't get many here.... I have bought other albums that don't seem as realistic as this one, I am very impressed, I wasn't sure If the money was worth it... But after reading some of the repsonses and purchasing the album I am quite pleased. I recommend this to anyone who is a fanatic about thunder storms and who can be lulled to sleep by a storm, it't worth every cent!! you shouldn't be disappointed.
2009-06-09
6. Sounds like I'd like it... - I have a few other similar tracks that I use to study, and I'd really like to buy Rolling Thunder - but $? That's really too much for something like this. I understand charging more than $ for a minute track, but there are similar albums available for $. iTunes, please lower the price!

7. -D Thunderstorm Environment by Darwin Chamber - Fabulous! Just what I'd hoped it would be and more. I was listening to it outside the first evening while weeding my garden and swear I had to look up a couple of times to make sure it hadn't really started to rain. Crazy! As a Thunderstorm Junkie--this is a great great item to have--I'll be listening to it constantly--
2006-07-13
8. Very Impressive - I am extremely impressed with this. Granted, I was lucky enough to get it for a dollar before they raised the price tenfold, but I still think this is a wonderful piece to relax to. I listen to it on repeat while I go to sleep, and it's been created in such a way that it doesn't sound repetitive at all. Living in Arizona, I rarely get the chance to listen to rain, let alone a thunderstorm, so I am very pleased to be able to calm down to this relaxing music right before dozing off every night.
2005-10-31
9. Splendid - As someone who loves the sound of rain and rolling thunder, this is absolutely superb. Also, in regards to a previous review -- there is no thunder in a hurricane. I've lived on the Gulf Coast for over twenty years and braved many, many hurricanes, including Katrina. No thunder. So the timing of this album is perfectly fine, unless of course it had been called Hurricanes. Which, really? Is not a soothing sound.
