1. stupid people - to everyone that's complaining that it doesnt say karaoke and that you are being cheated out of your money you are either stupid or blind, itunes has it labelled as "The Rocky Horror Picture Show: Karaoke Version" and then on the album cover just in case you missed those giant letters at the top of the page it says "The Original Motion Picture Soundtrack Minus the Lead Vocals" so dont give it a bad review due to your own stupidity/blindness

2. Stupidity abound - This album is EXACTLY what it says it is. People who have given this a -star rating based solely on their own stupidity and inability to read should be sterilized for the good of mankind. Don't give something a low rating just because you didn't look or listen to what you purchased BEFORE actually purchasing it. Learn from your (and all of the people's before your) mistake.

3. Sweet Masterpiece - WARNING! This is the original soundtrack BUT WITHOUT the lead vocals! If you love the movie, a big part of that love is due to the fantastic songs & musicians who so brilliantly set the mood for this film. Musically, it really sounds like something George Martin, the Beatles, & friends might've put together at Abbey Road studios. Get the 'regular' soundtrack first, for the brilliant Tim Curry & cast performance, and then get this one they really are the two complimentary sides of the same fantastic coin. You'll hear many musical details in this one that are overshadowed by the lead vocals on the regular soundtrack & the great backing vocals are delightful punctuations. PLUS, while this 'instrumental' version is playing, you'll hear the lead vocals bouncing along in your mind and, somehow, both become dynamically enhanced. Thoroughly enjoyable!!!

4. outrage - I purchased this because I thought that this was the original version, because it said Original on it ...Well, it was not the Original, it was the karaoke version, and the word karaoke was not used at all in the title, and the part that said that it was minus the lead vocals was at least far enough for me to not be able to read it. This is an outrage. The word karaoke should be in big huge letters so that noone buys this thinking that they are getting the classic songs that they want instead of karaoke crap.

5. amazing music - Even without the lyrics this movie's soundtrack is pure genius :) One thing, though... this soundtrack has a lot of tracks on it that aren't on the original motion picture soundtrack on itunes doesn't have, like Don't Dream It and (my favorite) Planet, Schmaet, Janet. Did these come on the original soundtrack to begin with?

1. Breath taking - JD’s solo work gets better w/each new installment. Forever…is further confirmation of Doe’s stunning ability to capture the breathtakingly beautiful sound of longing. Doe’s voice paints the landscape of loss and heartache in poetry and music that is often sparse but never simple. As with most of Doe’s work, the powerful beauty of Forever becomes more apparent with each repeated listening.

2. My Hero! - Play Hwy and Twin Brother a few times and you will realize what John's all about. Dim Stars, Bright Sky was 's best album and I have never quite gotten over "Far Away", " Holes" and my all time favorite X/JD tune "Forever for You." Too bad iTunes doesn't hold Dim Stars but "Forever Hasn't Happened Yet" is a great start! Thanks John for Years of unbelievable memories!

3. Forever is Now - Forever Hasn't Happened Yet, the new John Doe solo album, is one of the finest albums I have heard this decade. Although I enjoyed X years ago, I frankly hadn't paid any attention to Doe's solo efforts until I stumbled across this album on the Net a few weeks ago. I am completely mesmerized by the superb songwriting and the brilliant vocal performances by Doe & his family & friends on this album. I am eager to see him in concert in San Francisco. The first song, The Losing Kind, is a mindblower of spareness and power - the kind of troubadour song you see Springsteen reach for but rarely achieve. And then when you hear Twin Brother, There's a Black Horse and Ready, you realize Doe is an underrecognized genius. He deserves his due. Check it out and tell your friends.

4. Best Solo Yet - I have heard all the solo John Doe, but none has been as satisfying as this. The review is correct: we all like Doe, but the previous solo efforts have not been that solid. This is a great album that I keep playing. Also check out the new Knitters if you are a John Doe/Knitters/X fan like me.

1. "We Wish You A Merry Christmas" - DO NOT puirchase the karaoke backing track of this song, as it starts with an ugly-sounding electronic synthesizer miscue before the actual intro begins. Unfortunately, the iTunes "preview" does not allow the customer to hear the faulty start-up until after making the purhase.

1. Greedy Brooks - Won’t release his tunes so he can make an app, get you to spend money then GHOST you and YOU lose the money and original music!!! That fat wants us to continually buy his songs. He’s never played on the radio either. Glad he isn’t. I loved his music but he himself has ruined that. Hope his music

1. Best CD I've ever purchased.... - Love music? Get this CD... It doesn't matter what is normally on your Ipod, No Other Name will win you over with this album. The Other Side provides vocal, lyrical, and musical experience like no other! The vocals are unmatched and the songs mean something...not only to the author but to all listening as well.... This is music at it's best. As a bonus, it's got a great positive Christian message as well. Even if you aren't a Christian, you'll enjoy this CD. I suggest you buy it ASAP! Enjoy!

1. This is not an album from Lady Gaga! - I just thought I'd let people know that the piano versions of these songs are not from Lady Gaga, since she played them live (and they sound COMPLETELY different) and the record company that released this album is not Interscope Records, which is the record company she is signed with. It should be pretty obvious.

1. Please pay attention to what you're purchasing! - The purpose of this recording is so that theater groups without orchestras can still put on the show. It is not attempting to trump the Broadway cast in terms of performance quality, all the Guide Vocal tracks are for is to provide a GUIDDDDEE for how the songs go. The reason it is so expensive is because there are both guide vocal tracks as well as accompaniment tracks. It is a premium product because it features orchestrations that cannot be found in any other collection with nearly this high of a quality. Please do NOT give things bad reviews simply because you're confused. If you want the songs from the Charlie Brown series, just look a little bit harder and find what you're looking for, instead of badmouthing a perfectly good product because you made a blunder. Quite frankly I'm concerned that this product says both "THE BROADWAY MUSICAL" and "ACCOMPANIMENT TRACKS" right on the cover, and that somehow isn't clear enough for some reviewers…

1. Can’t Hear the Words? That’s ‘cause it’s KARAOKE! - A reviewer says don’t buy because you can’t hear the singing/words. Might I suggest the title of this CD be read in full to see that the singing/words can’t be heard because it is a KARAOKE recording where you hear the music and supply YOUR own voice. Then again, if you don’t know what KARAOKE is, it’s probably a good thing you don’t purchase this album.

2. Dissappointing - I was so looking forward to singing to some of these tracks, but there are faint vocals in the back from the original record. It's clear that these were done super quickly and half assed. Such a bummer because I'm such a huge fan of Scott's orchestration. Maybe the next one will have better quality tracks.

3. Thx for the opportunity to sing, minus a star for not true karaoke - So so jazzed that I can sing some of my favorites with fab accompaniment. PMJ is so in my zone; I'd rather listen to these (and sing these) than the originals. Minus a star for the poor quality regarding the presence of the vocals in many of the tracks. Sometimes faint, sometimes not so much, it's obtrusive no matter what, and not really true karaoke. Next time, can you please record sans vocals? Would make it much better for all :)

4. Do your friends need to be convinced any more how much class you have? - Thanks Scott for putting this out so fast! I never saw a poll for what songs to put on the first karaoke album but thank you for the great selections and quantity!! % I know or I can sing so I am a happy camper. Thanks for all you do in making the world smile and a lot more classy with your creative covers!

1. Debut to one of my Absolute Favorite Groups - I've been a big fan of Fujiya and Miyagi for quite a long time, and I have to say this album still stays true through time. Fujiya and Miyagi have a style that is an anomaly in the music industry. Their sound incorporates elements from bass-heavy, ambient electronica (comparable to Radiohead's KID A, probably my all-time favorite album) mixed with the bright side of alternative underground rock, and ultimately pulls off a groove I've heard no other artists utilize to success. It's a shame Fujiya and Miyagi aren't more popular --- I personally think they could be a huge success if more people took the time to listen. As for this specific album, my favorites tend to change as I listen. I would personally reccomend Rot, Simeone Slides, Tarr's White Collar, and Lolalucamilla. Overall though, the album is pretty fantastic, though I'll admit it does take a bit of time to grow.
