1. Lorn NEVER disappoints. - Such a unique sound, and seemingly unlimited creativity. I feel there is a different mood associated to each album, and consider it great soundtrack music for your life. Great music for writing a paper to, laying back in the couch all red-eyed and stoney bologna, or bumping uglies with your girl. Lorn just never disappoints. Keep pumping it out!

1. 's in the best way - Using vintage instrumentation in a style that is very au courant of the 's synth masters.
Really wonderful, atmospheric, reminiscent of Cluster among others. Old is new again.
Their major label debut features shorter, more approachable tracks, and will be bought by hordes of Stranger Things fans. Good for them! That's how I found these guys. But enjoy their earlier, stranger, longer-form works as well.

1. Amazing... - Roman Flugel is super talented. I have never denied that. However I have never connected to his music until this album. Simply astounding. Every bit as amazing as Aphex Twin's "Syro" and Herva's "Instant Broadcast" for album of the year discussions. His "Odd Lobster" track from the the Panarama Bar compliation is great as well. If he keeps this up he'll be in my playlists often.

1. Excellent debut solo album! - This is Loderbauer's first solo release. He has been a staple for almost four decades as a producer, engineer, and recording artist. 'Tranzparenz' is a fantastic album. It meanders widely from track to track, but remains cohesive in mood. There is melancholy here, as well as pulsating exciting tracks. I'm pretty sure this album is mainly analog equipment and synths, without the use of multi-track usage. The previews don't do the tracks justice. Great album and great discovery. Pleased.

1. Absolutely phenomenal - I wish that all of the bandcamp work was on itunes but at least this made it. Great sounds here. The movie bits in side A are an excellent touch, although I personally prefer side B. jhfly absolutely crushes it on every track. If you are into low fi hip hop or even acid jazz, you'll probably like this too. Really solid beats, couldn't be easier to listen to. The fades, the transitions, and especially the 's Nintendo sounds which any American year old like myself would recognize, bring a nostalgic quality that I also enjoy. Whole thing is very bass-y to put the cherry on top.

1. Intriguing and bold album like no other - Interested in where Kevin stands politically and in the midst of divided times in our nation? Take a listen to Radio Teknika. I have much respect for the fact that he doesn’t shy away from bold statements avoided by most in his former industry. Between dance beats and experimental syncopation, truth hits in the most profound way. This album is a work of art if you’re open to listening.

2. Another new direction - Even for an artist who glides effortlessly from one genre to another, Kevin Max’s Radio Teknika is an adventure. Blending the pulsating beats and expansive soundscapes of electronica masters kStatic with his own incisive lyrics and bold vocal delivery, Max has delivered a sonic odyssey that amply rewards repeated listens. Thematically, the album paints a picture of personal and political upheaval. It speaks to Max’s ongoing spiritual journey—he was a member of Christian band dc Talk in the ‘s, but has spent the past two decades expanding and evolving. As he tells us in “Shock-Ra:” I am still a Christian
but I am not into politics. I am a gothic hippie inclusive Jesus freak, wanting peace, wanting community in music and paintings, folk art near a hidden lake…” Radio Teknika is also broadly political, with tracks such as “None of the Above” avowing his personal distaste for the cynicism and dishonesty of American politics. Taken as a whole, Radio Teknika reveals that the personal and political are entangled. Max is rejecting division and dishonesty wherever it occurs. This might not be the best album to introduce a newcomer to Max’s solo work. It is challenging, layered and complex. However, those are also its strengths, and in a way it feels like the capstone to the first phase of his solo career. For those willing to travel with him, it’s a truly revelatory journey.

3. Such a good album - Kevin has always brought his art to new places. It inspires the mind and soul to think freely and embrace yourself in a way that is non judgmental. The depths of his words along with the phenomenal production of this music stands out ever more. Art is Art and it’ll exactly always be that. Very thankful Kevin takes his music places others don’t. Can’t wait for his future works.

4. Prepare for a mind trip that makes you think.. - In a music culture that seems to demand a mindless nod and wink, this album steps out of the lemming line, turns around and walks. Radio Tecknika is brilliant! The layers of gorgeous cacauphany leave the listener in a gritty, yet soft dreamlike state. The arrythmic heartbeat of music draws you into the depth of lyrical content. It is like taking the trip to wonderland, while sitting with Aslan in Narnia simultaniously. Highly recommend!

5. EDM/Spoken Word love child - One of the best albums of the last years. Inventive, wildly creative, taking contemporary music back to someplace ancient, yet paving the way for something new. This whole album is incredible and I highly recommending supporting Kevin Max and pursuing all of his works - pure genius!

6. Radio Blah Blah - I’ll start off saying I’m no fan of spoken work, no fan of EDM. I gave the album a listen, bought the lyric booklet, etc. There were a few times I wasn’t sure if I was supposed to find the lyrics deep or funny. The music, provided by kstatic, mostly sounds like pushing buttons, but there were a few cool melodies that popped up here and there. Once the physical release comes out I’ll gladly set it upon my shelf right next to Raven Songs , his previous spoken word album.

7. THE album of the year. - If your into the boring mind numbing music that you hear over and over these days then this album is not for you. This album will wake up your brain and get you thinking from the first to the last song. This album will get you moving and groovin. This album is the perfect marriage of spoken word and EDM. This is the one album everyone needs this year.

1. What happened? - Lorn! What happened, my dude? I was so excited for another album but I have to say, the last three album releases have not been like the previous deep and dark sounds I am used to from you. This one only spans a short minutes and maybe tracks sound like finished tracks. I’ll always follow and buy new albums from you but I hope you get back to your roots!
