1. Huge Disappointment to a Long-Time Fan - This compilation was a boring mish-mash of mixes that someone as talented as Mr. van Buuren could have put together with his eyes closed. Nothing really catchy or original, including vocals. I have purchased most all "State of Trance" mixes for over a decade and this is by far the worst. Hopefully a one-time mistake.

2. The Bad State of Trance - This isn't real trance, its just sounds like commercial dance tracks you would hear on the radio. There is way to much dance music now adays the everybody want to throw the trance label on too. Why because it's appears to be some kinda name brand that must be good.
This isn't trance music, is commercial dance music with a few trance elements throw in. I'm glad in away. Real trance music was alway a underground dance music scene, and real trance is still out there, you just have to look harder to find. True fans of trance will know what I mean

3. My two cents - I've been listening to Trance for a very long time, and I must say I was extremely dis-pleased with this ASOT. It sounded very poppy to me, a lot of the bass lines on the drops were horrible, there was maybe two tracks I've actually liked on the entire mix-album. I firmly believe Armin Van Buuren should just produce his own original album.

4. ASOT - Love the new Rising Star track and I can't wait for the new Gaia tracks After Buying the Album
My Top In The Album:
) Rising Star feat Betsie Larkin - Safe Inside You
) Andrew Rayel - Find Your Harmony (Driftmoon Stellar Remix) ) Gaia - In Principio
) Craig Connelly and Dan Thompson - Welcome to Earth
) Adam Szabo & Willem de Roo - Looking Back Safe Inside You is a great rendition of the old Rising Star tracks which I love and miss deeply Find Your Harmony (Driftmoon Stellar Remix) is an amazing epic song with awesome synths as well. I highly recommend buying just this song if you don't want to buy the entire album In Principio is one pf the new Gaia tracks and it is nothing short of amazing Welcome to Earth is another epic song with the Dan Thompson synth style Last but not least Looking Back is another chill track by Adam Szabo and Willem de Roo. They also made the track Medusa on last year's album

5. Only the Best! - Again, Armin puts together an amazing sound of melodies for the trance lover. For all the haters saying its to commercial or not even trance, shut up! I'm pretty sure Armin knows what he's doing when it comes to trance. He's making millions and is the highest trance DJ on the top coming in rd, which he always should be . No one comes close to his God given talent. Haters, keep complaining while he keeps making millions living his dream and touching hearts of people around the nations while you can only download music from iTunes and complain about music.

6. ARMIN STILL HAS IT! - Many people will complain because Armin has grown in popularity, the truth is he has expanded the Trance sound and this album has something for everyone in the Trance Genre. This album captures all the different sounds of Trance from Tech to Uplifting to driving and Vocal trance. I have followed Armin van Buuren s ASOT since and love every single one of them! Armin is still the king of Trance to me and always will be! I think my favorite tracks are the new Gaia and the new Simon Patterson as well! This is a great soundtrack for Spring time!

7. SO amazing - To all the reviews saying it's "commercial," I have never heard any of these songs on the radio and this album isn't even in the top . The songs are well-produced and of incredible creativity and beauty. If the songs were much longer, there'd be no room for your mixes and it would take up all the space on your listening device. Please enjoy Armin while he lasts. this is an incredible mix.

1. I found Gareth last month…. - Buy this. Support an artist that deserves it. I found Gareth last month and boy am I glad I did. After purchasing this album I can say it if worth far more than $USD. Amazing melodic qualities and features from some of the best in the industry. If you like dance, electro, trance…. then Gareth is your new bff. Thanks for the amazing production Gareth. Keep up the great work. Ill be along for the ride :)

2. The Summer begins with a motivating BANG! - Right after the first listen you will hear that Gareth put his Heart, Soul, Sweat, and Blood in to this album. Every Motivating track has a story about life that we all eventually will go through. Even dark truths can have a silver lining. Every Producer and their mother has released an album in the past year and no one has done it better.

3. Expected good, got great - I’ve been listening to Gareth Emery for about a decade, and like most artists he has a somewhat distinctive sound. I like that sound well enough, but was worried that the album would sound somewhat homologous. Right from the first track, I really had to stop and appreciate what a big grin I had on my face. Fresh sounds, both melodically and in sound design. It’s firmly in progressive/pop house territory, but without sounding heartless or methodically made for radio palatability. Expect to have several new sing-along favorites from this album, some good driving songs, and expect to want to dance to the whole thing.

4. Don't hesitate; get it! - Seriously. Every single song is fantastic, as with his other albums. Good for a lot of scenarios, but my favorite is to listen to it while driving. Sansa, Make It Happen, and Reckless are the best songs on the album, in my opinion. Stop reading reviews. Just get it, already!
2016-04-18
5. A masterpiece from beginning to end - This blows Drive out of the water and might be Gareth Emery’s best album yet. The Story So Far, Cloudline, Far From Home, Reckless, Lost, Until We Meet Again, Sansa…there’s no shortage of incredible work on this album. Worth every penny spent and then some!
2016-04-10
6. Gareth Emery :D :D :D - So I thought this album was going to be a good album, what I now think after listening is This Album is AMAZING!! Every track is on point, and every melody is incredible!! I also laughed about CVNT, yet that is my favorite track on the entire album!!! Amazing work Gaz!!!! You’re awesome!!!!
2016-04-09
7. Consistently emotive, uplifting music - Gareth Emery continues to evolve and continues to produce music unlike any of his contemporaries. This is such a beautiful piece of art. I thought "Northern Lights" was an amazing debut album, and he upped the ante with “Drive.” This album just tops both of them, mainly because I can really feel the blood, sweat, and tears that I know he has poured into it through each of the tracks. Thank you so very much for producing a timeless piece of art Gareth.

8. out of - I had stopped listening to Gaz for a while but this album has brought me back as a fan. Since seeng him live in a tiny venue in Austin TX in I've seen his career progress to what it is now and couldn't think of a better way to showcase his talent than this album. From start to finish it is quality production matched with vocal talent. A must-download for .

9. Stellar beyond belief - The gods of music have bequeathed the world of EDM with an artist of supernatural abilities, and his name is Gareth Emery. Unlike many one-hit-wonder artists, who are only able to produce remix after remix of their one decent tune, this album is an absolute treasure trove of all that is benevolent and pleasurable with respect to sequences of noises. The fact that it is nearly impossible for me to name my favorite track, or even my top , attests to the quality that pervades, and, indeed, characterizes this collection of tracks. Listening to this set of songs is more effective at raising spirits and conquering fears than a vacuum cleaner is at retrieving granules of salt from a marble floor. Whether you are a new fan, or a returning member of the GE/EFL flock, welcome to heaven on Earth. Good to have you with us.

10. Worth the wait - This entire album is one gem after another. As stand alone tracks they are great. As a full album it is phenomenal. There are definitely sounds you will recognize from previous works, but that makes it familiar. Of course, the singles that were released in advance are bangers but there are so many other potential favorites here, “Far From Home” & “Until We Meet Again” seem to stand out to me. Gareth Emery’s music is one of my reasons to live.

1. Not feelin it this year - I don't know what happened this year for Armin. He picked some pretty great tunes over all, but the mixing wasn't there. It's like he dropped them into it with out any thought. One song has a high tempo, then the next slow with lyrics, then back up to a faster tempo. Maybe he was facing a deadline? He has a lot of alubms due out this year, maybe that was it. Sigh. At least there is always next year for ASOT...
2016-09-16
2. Wanted to give a chance, but sadly couldn't - Just like the title says I really had high hopes for this one considering the last or have been bland, play by numbers EDM-pop with a slight smitthering of trance. There is very little trance. I know it's good for artists to expand their musical base but not to completely go a and not do what he used to do, seamlessly mix in progressive house, electro house with uplifting, melodic trance gems. Think ASOT , as he gradually built the mix up on both discs and didn't just play BPM trance. That's what he used to do,and do it well. Even to a point of using Ableton Live to essentially re-work or re-master existing tracks. He's more or less a celebrity DJ now, and this series should be renamed. Trance isn't just a particular sound, it's an aesthetic and this lacks that aesthetic or atmosphere.

3. Armin van Buuren - REMEMBER: These are tracks from other artist he puts together for a state of trance, don't take it out on our man AvB. He works hard to make us satisfied, and this should be - stars: ) do the math of how much each song would cost @ $. lowest and the amount of songs, and epic mixes by our Trance Dj. Give AvB some credits guys :)
2016-05-27
4. I wish it was still the late s or circa - Those wwere some great years when DJs/Producers actually made music because they loved it not because of money and that is what EDM is which what this album is A State of EDM not Trance. ASOT - were the best albums of Progressive Trance/ Trance and I am missing them. Like Tiesto, Armin Van Buuren is going to the same direction of selling out and no longer putting some pation into TRANCE music. Maybe only under Gaia is the only thing that would ever be Trance sadly that alias are just single or EPs AVB should really consider going as Gaia and make a mix like he did at UMF now that was what we called Trance.
2016-05-20
5. Not as good - I'm usually fine with a little trouse here and there, but isn't the whole reason Armin started ASOT the hypnotic energy and tear jerking moments of trance? You don't feel that way with about % of this album, he needs to realize that. Trance is a feeling, not a genre, I agree. But that feeling is just non existent in commercial sounds.
2016-05-19
6. I % Love It! Amazing. - I have hours of amazing music with this album. Of course some people may not like it because the whole change thing to appeal to larger audiences, especially Americans. But I tend to like this change, the previews of each song sold the album to me. And then once I got the album I was % satisfied and beyond. FANTASTIC! I've been listening for hours.
2016-05-12
7. Skip This Album :-( - I love AVB's work in general and have tremendous respect for him; I've bought every ASOT for years, eagerly awaiting releases. That said, I regret buying this album. The tracks strike me as generic and uninspired, in stark contrast to his earlier work. I know not every track is going to be a hit, but I'm just not feeling it as to ANY of them here. Considering AVB's long history of outstanding success, I'll certainly try his next album. But this one's not for me.
2016-05-10
8. kman - Dissapointed with this effort, Armin must have been busy with is personal album and not given this album the attention is deserves. This is the worst one in several years. Only good song is Sunshine blue, other than that just a bunch of songs thrown together. Garbage if you ask me. Can i get my money back??
2016-05-08
9. Unfortunate.. - He may be the face of trance still, but he isn't much of a trance artist anymore. It's a shame seeing this trend more and more now. There are some good songs on here but there are plenty of artists out there still staying true to the genre and themselves and Armin isn't one of them..I wouldn't recommend buying this if you're expecting a full album of trance music because it's not there.
2016-05-06
10. Not trance - Half of this album is not trance music. It is a blended facade of mixed genres to create that "big room progressive house" drop that producers are obsessed with at the moment. Trance is not supposed to sound like Dimitri Vegas and like mike or Swedish house mafia. It's supposed to sound like the golden days, the energy, melody, powerful bass lines and upbeat tempos. You want to make trance then make it, armin knows the difference yet he chooses to make "main stage" music to appeal to the American fans.

1. Fair album - Why is every freakin' song a radio edit? Trance is supposed to be five to eight-and-a-half minutes long. Pop and rock are supposed to be three or four minutes long, NOT trance!
And half of this album is not trance. Come on, there's much more to producing music than money and fame!
@arminvanbuuren, please go back to extended mixes and maybe mix cuts, and produce trance at the track length is meant to be. Use the money and public awareness you gained with commercial pop and house to promote bpm uplifting progressive trance to make it more popular. Also start doing bpm Euro hard trance (which you haven't done so far), I'm sure your fans wouldn't be displeased, because I would be very pleased. I like high tempo.
Don't do hip hop, R&B, future bass, or trap. I'd rather you do metal (especially thrash metal and medieval power metal) and maybe electronic rock than that.

2. NOT A CONTINUOUS MIX!!! - What happened to a DJ being able to mix longer than a hr set? The last several albums I’ve bought from Armin are just a bunch of random songs that are great if they didn’t have second intro and outro fades on them. That is not a mix. When you listen to the tracks individually there’s no way to tell and because no one puts that on their album anymore, it too late. Especially when you read other reviews saying it is. Plus you have to buy the whole album to get the continuous mixes. Not cool Armin. Super disappointed!!! I’m not even a DJ and can mix better transitions than this.

3. Master of Sounds - I have to say I have been listening to Armin for over years. A huge fan, hats off to Armin for becoming the best DJ at what he does. Armin can take anything and make it into a masterpiece. Congratulations on everything you do, and making people around the globe energized and full of happiness. This guy will take your breath away.

1. Armin's not doing it well - Not only are there no continuous mixes, but every song is a radio edit! Why? Trance music (and EDM in general, but especially trance) is supposed to be five minutes and seconds long. Pop and rock is supposed to be three or four minutes long, NOT trance!
But there seems to be a little more trance in this compilation compared to previous A State of Trance compilations.
Armin has gone on the commercial pop path for quite long enough.
2019-10-05
2. Bought and paid for - I’ve bought and paid full retail price for this album; and unfortunately the “In the Club” continuous mix is not available to play or download. I don’t know why; I don’t care why. But when I pay for something and don’t get it; I’ll either demand a refund or write bad reviews until it is fixed. This is what is happening right now. It is available on Spotify Premium for $ if you pay them $. a month. Meanwhile, I chose to pay market rate for the artist album which is MORE THAN A SUBSCRIPTION and am getting lesser service. I’ll change the rating when people can sort this out and act like adults.

1. Nice DJ set, but I'd rather have PoD and up on iTunes - Album is pretty good but I agree with the other reviewer that this was kind of a let down after waiting for a decade. The first two Politics of Dancing albums were definitely a step up in epic proportions. That said, my request to Paul and Vandit Records: please rerelease Politics of Dancing & up on iTunes please. My CDs are aging and scratched up to death. I'd rebuy these classics in a heartbeat!
2015-05-11
2. I am confused is it not PoD a compilation? - All the tracks are great but what’s with the departure from the previous PoD which were amazing instead PoD is just a PvD album not a compilation. Saddened by this but I can only assume when PvD put out a short promo for PoD on Youtube years ago a lot of people complained the departure from Trance.
2015-05-10
3. Brilliant - Paul does it again. The album is really flawless, the German precision is exquisite. A true successor to the first two compilations, this one has Paul’s magic throughout. It flows seamlessly and it immerses you in the music completely. It is unapologetically full of positive energy, it is crisp and delightful. While listening to it one simply cannot stand still, the music picks them up and starts moving them physically and emotionally. No tune is a letdown, no transition is jarring. In fact the only disappointment is that it is a single LP.

4. Longtime PVD listener - Excellent. Been listening to Van Dyk for over years since , when I first heard of him on Oakenfold's Tranceport. PVD has evolved and while many older fans will not appreciate the variety he incorporates into new music he still knows that he is the King of Trance. These tracks are a perfect example of who he is and where he has been. The man has the Midas touch indeed. For the cultured ear you will hear the richness and depth he has put into this release. The "average" dance music fan will not get it, they just will not. This is not Aoki, Hardwell, or even Armin. The only trance artist album I would compare this to is A&B We are All we Need. PVD and A&B are just on a completely different level than anyone else and have been for a very long time. Congrats Paul for releasing an album that showcases your many talents! Matthew in Atlanta.
2015-05-04
5. One and only Paul van Dyk - Simply amazing tracks. It was worth waiting for. It is a good example of qualitative work where other producers/DJs believe in quantitative work who keep on producing tracks after tracks with no sense. Just one suggestion to Paul that if you can invest more talents with latest trends in making of music videos and concert footages, more new people will get to know your music and your taste.
2015-03-31
6. Preview Sounds Great - Wow! Been waiting for a mix album like this from PvD for a long time. Has his signature thump all over it. I love that he takes time between mixes to really put something together his fans will appreciate unlike Armin who churns out mixes with no originality every month. Way to go Paul.

1. It's ok - A bit more house than Cosmic Gate used to be. Not the driving beats that I like. But it's nice to do something different. I like a combination of uplifting trance and electro house. But I love driving beats and euphoria. I love Eurodance.
I hope Cosmic Gate goes back to trance though. I'd love to see more hard trance.

2. Sooooooo Good! - From start to finish Start to Feel is non-stop happiness (not just track ). I’ve had this album for months and I still find myself leaving it on repeat for several hours at a time. The past year has seen some really great trance releases and this album is jam packed with many that stand out for me from .

3. Agree Garrett - These guys are amazing at what they do (Let me start with that), but they have strayed so far from the path they had layed upon themselves. I pre-ordered the album so I could hear Cosmic Gate, the Cosmic Gate I grew up with and felt inspired by. Had I wanted to listen to W&W or any other present Trance artist. I would have ordered their album. It makes me feel squirmish criticizing what used to be my favorite Artist duo, but all signs point to "Sell Out". We will never hear another album similar to Rhythm and Drums or Earthmover from these guys it would seem. Sincerely, Concerned fan of Cosmic Gate

1. Pure ecstasy - Not only do I hear this music, I feel it as well. Andrew is fresh talent that the world of trance/prog trance absolutely needed and, I am grateful with every track he puts out. I cannot even put into words how much I enjoy listening to this album and the rest of his work, find your harmony is a true masterpiece.
2014-09-18
2. Music for the soul - I recently began studying music production and THIS is the kind of music that i want to create. Music that hits you straight in your core and rips out your soul to forget about troubles in life. To escape from reality and create. Andrew Rayel is a mix of Armin Van Buuren and Old School Tiesto!
2014-09-09
3. Andrew Found His Harmony - These tracks are my fav. He's young and shows he can create some beautiful music with these tracks. He really works hard at his sets & only wants the best. I can see him becoming one of the top DJs in the future. Find Your Harmony, Dark Warrior, Eiforya, Miracles, One In a Million
Fading Echoes, Sacramentum, Goodbye, The End At Pianoland
2014-06-20
4. Promise in a new artist - A Few hits and a very articulate fusion of trance with some classical piano and violins. My only suggestions would be to either add a full album mix or layer the songs in the ablum more to cut out the typical intro beats that are common of this genre. Mr. Van Buuren could enlighten you on this subject.

1. Not quite what I would like - I give this a three stars (not four) because it's supposed to be a DJ mix, but not only are there no continuous mixes, but most of the songs are radio edits except for a few. Looks like extended mixes are coming back. Good, because trance (and EDM in general, but especially trance) is supposed to be five to eight minutes long. Pop and rock is supposed to be three or four minutes long, NOT trance!
This also looks like a trend back to trance. I hope it is. Be done with big room trouse and do uplifting and progressive trance!
But I'd love faster beats! Please do Euro hard trance!
I don't care too much for hypnosis in the music.
2019-10-26
2. Hour Mixes (On The Beach & In The Club) - I’d honestly rather have the ‘In The Club’ mix & ‘On The Beach’ mix than the songs separately mixed with the original, like from ASOT & ASOT , other than that, it seems like it’ll be a good Compilation, not % Trance, but as a Progressive, (Psy)Trance, & Electro, Trouse Compilation.

1. Another year of trance cheese. - First and foremost I always appreciate the time and effort Armin van Buuren puts into creating these mega mixes. But a lot of these tracks are so cheesy, it's just doesn't own up to the siganiture ASOT quality. Go back and listen to the earlier year mixes - as a reference, the quality is much much greater than what's being released these days. The only exception from this entire mix is Ferry Corsten's throwback "Neba". I guess we all just have to accept the fact nowadays that this is technically a new genre that's on these year mixes because it's definitely not trance. Too each their own, I also think that these releases should contain the extended mixes, but they won't because of licensing from all the labels these tracks originate from so you have to settle with the radio edits. Even though Armin claims these mixes are based from voters globally, but that's not all technically correct. All the tracks must all match in key when selecting each track and at the end of the day it's Armin's choice of the full mix's content. These mixes aren't a good buy for someone looking for "the best trance" in a year mix but this mix is simply ok in my opinion and would be entertaining for a party or a reference to see what in Armin's opinion, where the state of trance is each particular year.
2016-12-20
2. Yuck! - The thing that puts me off with these compilations is Armin tracks which to me are the worst tracks in trance history and what seems to be getting better is that most of his tracks somehow come into this. True spoilers. Lots of tracks better than it, sadly I have to listen to it, gladly I dont have to buy it. Will wait to hear the full thing aired on di.fm.
2016-12-18
3. Missing Another Track from Other Stores - The U.S. and Canadian iTunes stores are missing another track that is on the actual CD and other stores versions like previous Year Mixes. It's missing "Above & Beyond feat. Justine Suissa - Little Something (Super & Tab Remix)" from the first CD. It's a bit disappointing that they can't every song in the North American stores still, which means it's not the full mix. Other than that, it's another great summary of Armin's radio show from the year .

1. Gahh!! Still have to wait a month!! - Anxiously awaiting this release! I have to say I am very happy with the songs on "Watch the World." I have been a fan of Markus for a very long time. I just purchased a few acoustic versions of songs I really like. But ultimately I can't wait for release of Destiny, Let it Rain, You & I, Facedown and Favorite Nightmare. I highly recommend this album especially if you liked Toronto '. One of my favorite compilations for Markus! This reminds me a lot like it!! Great work!

1. Takes me on a journey like I haven't been on in awhile. - Do Andriods Dream is where the quote "Less is more" comes from. I can tell Bayer really stepped back for these tracks and made some amazingly smooth, melodic trance tunes that just get you lost in the sounds. It takes me on a journey like I haven't been on in awhile. I sincerly hope to hear more like this in the future.

2. He just keeps getting better and better!!! - I have been jamming to the teaser since ABGT performance in October and I can’t wait for the full EP release. Andrew is a great person with so much talent! I cannot wait to hear what he comes up with for years to come! If you have any doubts, don’t! All of his levels of output are just incredible and the vocal tracks that he is creating I confidently say are some of the best that you will ever hear! Andrew Bayer is "the man"! Pre-order now to not miss a second without what will undoubtedly be an incredible EP:)

1. Fair album - Not sure whether to give this a three or four star (Edit: I'll definitely give this a three star, because I didn't consider the fact that the songs are all radio edit).
The earlier songs on this album are poor and cheesy, the later songs are better, more energetic, and maybe more euphoric.
Armin has moved from quality trance to cheesy, unpalatable, commercial pop house. No wonder Armin lost his status as DJ. Martin Garrix is now . Martin may not be trance, but at least he stays true to his roots.
Edit: Also, why are all the songs radio edit? Armin should go back to doing extended mixes and mix cuts.
If Armin had stayed true to his roots and not moved to low-quality, cheesy, sell-out music, he might have remained DJ.
If Armin is to produce commercial pop to make money, he should make a side project.
This album is not terrible, It's mixed. I like a mixture of electro house with trance. I'd like music that combines uplifting progressive trance, hard trance, and tech trance as well as electro house. I like diversity.
If you want Armin true to his roots, get his side project Rising Star. Also get musicians like Paul Van Dyk, Talla XLC, and Sean Tyas. They stay true to trance.
But I'd like bpm Euro hard trance. Why does Armin only produce bpm?

2. WOW - I've been generally a hip-hop fanatic, but since the music have lost its feling ive been experimenting with new music that i have never listened to, and i must say that this music had me going all night, i love the mix and its very refresing to hear somthing like this without all the crap...i am new to the scene but hopefully i will be a regular to this guys perfectional work, and i did say perfectional not professional, he is a pro but, the perfection isnt easy...i Love it

3. A State of sadness - If this mix doesn’t indicate to you the sad reality of trance music, I don’t know what will. But this is as far away from trance as it gets and it’s getting worse by the year. Today most of the producers have adopted most of the cheesy elements of EDM into their tracks now because it’s clearly all about the money and fame. The mixing itself is the only highlight to this mix, the content starts off with a bunch of vocalist singing some un-inspired lyrics with no clever thought to them. Then the mix traditionally progresses to the higher bpm range tunes that are “meh” at best. If you’re a fan of EDM or hard trance, this mix is for you. But I leave you with this: One of armin’s famous quotes is “never be a sucker to your own sound.” He clearly knows he’s a hypocrite to this if you go look at a youtube interview he did with Junkie XL. He clearly states that the trance music we know of is gone but he’s sticking with it. Armin will always be a legend in the trance world but as for his current content it’s a sinking ship and he knows it. But he’s going to milk that cash cow until the ship has sunken... Also like other companies Armada must have paid people putting up (Fake) reviews to keep the ratings up on their releases.

1. Great Album, but "U" is not the right song - I purchased this on a recommendation from a friend, due to the great collection for the money. However, the first track, "U" by Gareth Emery, isn't "U," but "On Fire" by Luke Bond. It's fine, because I already have "U," but to someone who sees it and purchases it wanting that song may be disappointed. (It's still a lot of "bang for your buck.")

1. Armin is good still but not at his best - This album is not for those of the original A state of Trance sound. Armin has made a departure from that original sound and really has brought his version of it to the Mainstream which distress’s me a little because honestly it doesn’t sound like Trance anymore, It sounds like MainStage EDM at best. I have listened to the progression of A State of Trance from the very beginning and have followed Armin from his rise to being and after. Armin still has a special place for me because i know that he still has the original sounds still there and plays them from time to time. This album in my opinion was designed for the newer fans of electronic music as it won’t appeal to the Trance Family members. So I think I am only being fair by saying this gets stars because its Armin and he still does out and tries to raise awareness of the Trance Sound even as he has gone on his own departure from it.

1. Snooze... - I get that Anjunabeats is trying to put out something new but that’s the problem: it isn’t new. Everything on this album sounds like everything else they’ve done recently and frankly, it’s boring. It’s much too melodic for my taste and borderline dub-step. I came looking for beautiful, euphoric trance not the sound of tripping out in a club bathroom. Perhaps they are truing to reach to a new audience but who that audience is keeps me guessing and frankly, looking elsewhere for better music.
2015-06-03
2. We Are All We Need, again and again and again? - Almost Stars but seriously, do we need We Are All We Need on every single compilation from Anjunabeats for Anjunadeep? The singles are numerous and the song is on every collection, sheez. Other than that little issue, this is stellar and Ilan is incredible.
2015-05-27
3. Excellent - I want to start by saying that this album is great. Each song is excellent in its own right, and they're all mixed expertly by Ilan Bluestone. That being said, I was hoping for more songs that I hadn't yet heard. Perhaps it is just my fault for having really high expectations, but compared to the previous Worldwide album, it is pretty lacking in tracks. The compilation is, in my mind, absolutely outstanding. This one brings a lot of great tracks, but it is just less music. It would have been cool to have another great Anjunabeats artist have another mix to go with this. It is probably just a case of my expectations being too high going into this, but I still would recommend this album to anyone.
2015-05-27
4. Rising star right here - I really enjoy ilan Bluestone's work. He puts out great singles. This is his first compleation mix for the Anjunabeats label and he doesn't dissapoint. There are a few singles on here (lotus, , legion) that are familiar if you have been buying the singles as of late, but there are quite a lot of new tracks on here by Bluestone and Sunny Lax. I thought it was a fantastic mix, and the tracks compliment each other nicely! Too bad it is only one cd... I think it could have been better with another mix and CD.
2015-05-26
5. The Worldwide compilations never disappoint! - Anjunabeats Worldwide compilations are some of the best albums Anjunabeats puts out. Unfortunately, it’s not very often. Ilan Bluestone did a good job with the album. “Lotus”, “All These Wounds”, “Patience”, “Cloudchaser”, and “Bonsai” are excellent tracks! I’m just not a huge fan of tracks with Zoë Johnston… her voice sounds like an older woman. I don’t really like the new direction and sound of Above & Beyond, personally. But albums like this are always worth a listen!

6. what ever happend to bing suprised - I do not like the fact that i have already heard % of this record. i own most of these tracks of other albums or EP's. i would have rather waited longer for a masterpice, more then halfasking the next tribute in a legacy of motivating music. It is most of all, disuponting that only one disk suports this album. I fill as if you have put very little work in to this project. I wish you would suprize people by not playing / of a record befor it is released. i love your music so much. if it where not for the anjuna family i mould not have the strength to survive in this world. All of you have tought me to pull my all in every thing thit i do. I gess i am asking the same out of all of you. 1. The Best Yet - Listening to Aly and Fadi’s previous albums, I always believed they played better live than their albums led on, but this album stands in stark contrast to that belief. They have produced an album that is acoustic sugar. Play the album in order, don’t skip around, it is one big experience rather than separate tracks. ENJOY! Cannot wait to see them at Pure Trance at ADE '

2. Did Christmas come early this year?! - Although I wish "For All Time" wouldn't be : but instead : ha ha this release is absolutely on point! I haven't listened to the whole album yet - I'm currently listening to "Along the Edge." Actually this album is one of my most anticipated releases of this year, and I must say it hasn't disappointed me yet! Love it thus far! team Looooove it!!!!

1. Armin never gets old - I bought this album the day it came out and her we are ending February and entering March and I still get hyped when I play this in my car or to sleep, feels like it did the first time I listened to it. I can’t wait to see him live again, he was amazing with his Embrace tour. I recommend this album and his other ASOT . They are each their own album so both are candy to your ears until ASOT . Can’t wait. Trance family -ever.

2. To be honest - I have to say... The ASOT IBIZA vs. ASOT are both their own entity. As it should! I in a personal note... I like this mix a lot! Gives me a sense of hope I guess. The other one was pretty good too! But I'm finding myself defult to this Mix. Keep up the good work! Stay creative! Don't stop creating and finding awesome music!

1. Great album - I really like PvD went back to insturmental trance without much vocals! "Breakng Dawn" track is a fantastic uplifting trance track that I absolutely get shivers listening to. Makes me remember the great trance tracks years ago. Thanks Paul for not selling out on trance like Tiesto did.
2018-12-06
2. Great! - With the album "Evolution," I was afraid that Paul Van Dyk would go the way of Tiesto like Armin Van Buuren did. But he didn't go commercial pop. He went back to true quality trance. He stays true to his roots!
This music is great! Deep, full beat and sound.
Let's promote trance music! Spread it around!
Germany is a source of quality musicians! British music is just bland. French music is colorful, fancy, glossy, and such. Dutch music is hard-edged with little color. Belgian music balances Dutch and French music. But German music is best! Better than Scandinavian music as well. Don't know whether to say German style is better than Russian.

3. Yeah, it is TRANCE! - Thank you so much for this TRANCE album, this year we have been blessed by PVD, Aly & Fila, and Ferry Corsten. This album is a winner, from the first release Touch of Heaven, to the anthem Inhale....close your eyes, and let PVD take you on a musical flight....that's what trance is all about.

4. Tiesto needs to take a lesson from PvD - PvD also went off rail when it came being as a well known Trance DJ/Producer even his latest Politics of Dancing was a par since it was mostly a album full off his own tracks unlike his previous PoD vol. - sadly can't be found on iTunes. Now this album is PvD getting back to his roots and all I can say is FINALLY he is back and many Trance DJ/Producers such as Tiesto need to learn.

1. Never A Let Down - As always, Armin Van Buuren gives us more ear candy. Love this ASOT, never short of amazing. They need to kick Martin Garrix off that number one spot on DJ Magazine top and give it to Armin who has a lot more talent. From his productions to his mixed albums, Armin Van Buuren never lets us down. Long live the trance family forever!

1. Amazing - Funny story so my grandma had asked me what song I wanted to hear about a year ago and I said blah blah blah because I was mad at something and then she looked it up and said it was a real song and we listened to it and couldn’t stop and i still do listen do it thank you fir this song your amazing and I love you
2021-12-05
2. Mixed good/bad album - The only one worth buying is "Just as you are" featuring Fiora. That's a great song, all the other songs are cheap trash. The least good one is either Popcorn (with Alexander Popov) or "Blah Blah Blah," the former of which is poor quality trance and the latter of which is wild and spontaneous big room house.
Armin is now making this mainstream pop just so he can be popular and make money. Either that or the management team or record label pushed him. But maybe he wants trance to be popular.
Get the acapella version of Blah Blah Blah. It's good. You think I'm being sarcastic? It's electro-acapella.
If you see five star reviews to works like this, chances are Armada paid for them.

1. Seriously? - Totally underwhelmed by this one. Kept tracks ,, and and deleted the rest. Even then I won’t be doing a lot of repeats. Where’s that Ilan “Sinai” magic? Or maybe “Spheres” magic? Along with a little heavy lifting out of the Anjunabeats lab? C’mon Paavo, we know what those classic trademark notes are. Slide some more musical planks under these guys.

2. More Great Trance & Deep House - Ilan is one of my favorites from the Anjunabeats label and he doesn't disappoint with the summer jams. Blue Angel and the deep house track Not Alone are my top picks. It's a shame we don't get the extended mixes here that's available on Beatport. Only reason it's not stars for me.

1. Return to Form - BT never left, but the space between his trance albums seems to widen with each release. I can say with confidence this album is already shaping up to be more epic and incredible than the last. I like his ambient music and soundtracks but salivate for cuts like these. Side note: If your a fan, show some love by buying this album on iTunes or directly from BT (even if you have a streaming service) because it helps support the artist. Keep up the great work BT!

1. Best Ferry Corsten album ever! - Ferry is my biggest influence and inspired me to be a trance DJ. Out of all the albums I’ve heard from him in the past, this is the best one he ever did! Everything about it is phenomenal, from the amazing music, to the wonderful story about Lucas and Vee. As a matter of fact, I’m wearing a T-shirt with a picture of the Blueprint album on the front as I write this review.
Overall, I highly recommend this album to anyone who loves trance music and Ferry Corsten. Believe me, you won’t be disappointed in it!
2018-09-10
2. An amazing Sci-Fi Music Book! - WOW! Blueprint is simply amazing and wonderful! This elevates Ferry Corsten to a whole new level for me, and takes him well beyond just a trance or club artist! Don't listen to the whiny club kids who can't see beyond their own phone screens. If you listen to Blueprint without the narration, then you’re missing out on a simply amazing sci-fi musical audio book journey that's simply a master melding of story and music.
2018-04-05
3. An Electronic Music Masterpiece - This is one of the most creative and unique electronic music compositions to date. The perfect fluidity of the melodies and interlocking narrative result in an uncanny journey of electronic music. Unfortunately, this musical jewel will most likely never get the recognition it deserves. This album is a classic example of how emotions are portrayed through passionate musical composition. Amazing work, Mr. Corsten! You have raised the bar with this masterpiece and have given the world another gift. This album belongs in the electronic music hall of fame!

4. Different But Moving - As a long-time FC fan, I initially was skeptical with this format of telling a story amidst the music tracks. However, once I got through the first several ones, the story started to grow on me. Have to say by the end of the album I was totally absorbed in the story. Give it a chance and you might end up really liking it! :)

5. Just brilliant - I'm , I didn't like the narrative first time around, but now I love it. This album is beyond superlatives- I'm turning all my friends onto it- it would be a crime not to. 'Piece Of You' is a gift from heaven but the whole thing is just beyond expectations. Wkend was incredible, this surpasses it by miles, thank you Ferry Corsten for making a difference to my life.

6. A fresh idea - In the world of ubiquitous rises and drops, edm has become stale. Integration of a narrated story line into original tracks offers a fresh perspective into the world of trance. The point of the genre (which has been largely lost) is to take people on a journey. This album dictates the journey you go on ( for better or worse) but the idea is novel and the tracks are solid. Good job to Ferry. This is engaging and original. Thank you
2017-06-13
7. Blueprint is a journey packaged in a chapter book with soundtrack - Yes, the album will be released in a music only version and Ferry himself has already posted the music-only tracks on youtube. But these songs belong to a storyline and you will not want to miss out on hearing it, at least once, in a single min listen. The music is compelling on it's own, but the songs support the story and the result is something really unique and special for trance and EDM as a whole. Top track by far is Wherever you Are. If you are deciding still, check out that track in its entirety and you will be convinced.
2017-06-12
8. Love it as a narrated concept album! - There's more than enough dance music out there that's just boom boom boom. Blueprint is practically like a trance Broadway musical. At first the narration took me by surprise but it instantly grew on me. It reminds me of Porter Robinson's storytelling cyber-tronica in a way and each narration really sets up the song to come. Credit Ferry for doing something none of his contemporaries have and for pulling it off. It may not be for everyone, but it's still great.
2017-06-09
9. Appreciate it for the artistry. I certainly was intrigued! - I can totally appreciate what Ferry was trying to do. He said it in his podcast. He is a science fiction fan and by incorporating a narrative throughout the album he was paying an omage to that genre. This is Ferry being creative and doing something different. Music is suppose to make you feel something, tell a story, and the narratives are there to help you thorough that journey. While I can appreciate the artistry that went into puting this album together, I can see where the narratives might seem redundant after a while, but Ferry already thought about that. In that same podcast, Ferry said he will release another version of the album without the narrative buffers. thumbsup
2017-06-06
10. Different, but Great! - Go in expecting an short audio book, with music intermixed. This is meant to be be a journey, or experience rather than just a collection of new songs. Some people don't like the story, and I get it, it was a little weird to hear dialog on a music album. I kept an open mind, and feel like both the story and the music are better because of the combination of the two. Once you've listened to it from start to finish, there is a version of the album available where the story is separated (not on iTunes as of this writing). I'm glad for the option to have the audio book separated for listening to tracks shuffled, or by themselves. My favorite tracks so far are: "Piece of You", "Wherever You Are", "Drum's a Weapon", and "Reanimate". There are many other great tracks as well. Some people won't "get" this album, and that's ok it's not for everyone. As far as the audio book sections, I thought the story was pretty good, and helped support the music. There were parts that the writers seemed to rush though, but I think overall it works in this concept album.
2017-05-29
11. An audio book or an album? - The music I've heard is awesome - however the narration and dialogue that introduces every track is going to get annoying upon multiple listening sessions or in a shuffled mix. I really hope there is a version with separate tracks released that allows the listener to bypass all of the spoken word, narration and dialogue. Not to mention - in terms of checking out the album through iTunes previews - we barely can hear any of the actual music because the full second previews are just dialogue. If I didn't know better - I'd guess this was an audio book with some music instead of the other way around.

1. A solid addition to Rayel's still growing repertoire - Almost every song on this album is rated stars in my iTunes library. Rayel's sophomore album features incredible collaborations with some of the biggest titans in the vocal trance scene like Jonathan Mendelsohn, Christina Novelli, Eric Lumiere, and Emma Hewitt, as well as a few up and coming vocalists like Angelika Vee and Kristina Antuna. Andrew's signature harmonic synth shines in almost every song, as does his knack for incredible composition and his abilities as a classically trained pianist. I definitely believe this album earned stars. That being said, think this album shines quite as brightly as his debut Find Your Harmony album. I respect every artist's creative freedom and all, but Andrew ventured in a few musical directions I don't think worked as well for his style of trance. He dipped his toes in Big Room House with Khohma on "All Systems Down," and into a more classic Progressive Trance vibe with ATB on "Connected." While both are decent songs in their respective genres, they don't have the same kind of powerful euphoria and musical direction that most of Andrew's works do. And while heavily criticized by some from the trance community, his endeavor into psytrance with "Tacadum" is actually a pretty solid psytrance track. All that to say, I highly recommend this album even with a few tracks that I find slightly less impressive than his usual productions. :)

But this is a diamond in the rough, I love stumbling on an album like this then listening it to death, until I love it too much, that I can't listen to it anymore. 1. A strong return for ISOS - ISOS was really what made Tiesto huge in his Trance days than the series was passed down to Richard Durand but now it is open I guess for anything this time DJs and love it especially Markus Schulz mix a bunch of updated tracks that were on the early ISOS series. Hopefully one day we return to good old trance which this is pretty decent just sad Tiesto departed to selling out I guess when you become DJ more times your ego grows.

2. In search of something... - I have been a long time follower of the SOS series and the minute I heard a new one was coming out I pre-ordered it. However, the first part of this album seems to search for its identity. The second part (Andy Moor) has more of the classic flow that SOS is known for. Richard will be missed.

1. Dance Party - This is an awesome -hour continuous mix of trance tracks that were popularized on Armin Van Buuren’s A State of Trance radio show throughout the years. All the hits are here (look at that track listing!), and although the tracks are abbreviated and short, they transition seamlessly and continuously from one song to the next, so the dance momentum is never lost. Download this and listen to the best uplifting trance that’s been released over the past decades.

1. I love how it flows - I really love how the album starts out slow, reminds me of Oceanlab, climbs up into deep house to get you going, and turns into some pretty driving dance music. I wouldn't enthusiastically show some of these songs with other people due to niche sound, but there weren't any songs that I didn't like.

1. Pretty good - Not sure whether to give it a four or five star.
Songs seem to get longer from the first track to Parallel Dimensions. The songs could be somewhat longer.
But it's true trance. Just like in the heyday of trance of mid-'s to early-'s. There's a bit of psytrance but still good.
Compare this to what Armin Van Buuren, Tiesto, Darude, and even Dash Berlin are doing instead. These four artists were once straight trance musicians if you look back at their older works. Then they turned to progressive and electro house later big room house and psytrance and borrowed cheesy pop elements. Paul Van Dyk on the other hand stays true to his roots which can be a good or bad thing, but generally good. Paul Van Dyk's music has stayed much the same with not particularly much variety. But variety can also be a good thing or a bad thing, and if you want an example of it being a poor thing, then look at the newer works by Armin Van Buuren.

2. Sunday afternoons - Paul’s been much more prolific over the last four years and has by and large moved on from the more pop oriented vocal tracks from Reflections in to Evolution in . The last two albums have been much more oriented to his Trance Roots and the music he plays on sets. The first three tracks released continue that trend. No one has yet eclipsed Paul at this style of dance music. Thanks so much Paul for your free online sets that I’ve enjoyed so much while while getting exercise during this pandemic.

1. AVB needs to get out of the rut and innovate - So much of this album is just....boring. It's not innovative and sounds like any other electronic/dance album. The standard crescendo buildup of the buzzing fly synth that starts low and builds high, with a silent split second gap, it's just plain old and tired and boring and every. single. mix. does. it. Stop. AVB, you are so much better than putting out mixes than this. Experiment. Innovate. Try something new. Until then I'll look around for other interesting mixes.

2. The new top DJ - I used to love Armin and I know this hasn't been released yet, but all of his mix albums now are featuring only - minute long songs that sound pretty much the same/same style. He's become more of a Top /Pop-trance DJ rather than the type of DJ he used to be where he played longer tracks, utilized Ableton Live, played a variety of styles (uplifting trance, progressive house/trance and tech-trance) and was creative in his mixing and track selection. I want the old Armin back.

1. Bliss - Sweet music to enjoy all the way thru, from the intro to the end. The vocals blend in perfectly without the assistance of auto-tune. And the lyrics aren't cheese/crap you hear on the radio /. non-overdone production too. 1. FANTASTIC. Top Notch Reactor. Every track good, Srsly. - A home run for Juno Reactor! Every track on this album is either good or fantastic. You get some throwback guitar on the first track (Return of Pistolero) and that's irresistable, plus it's nice and long. The next couple tracks are all good and danceable or they keep you moving. Good beats, good effects. Sometimes I think I hear another callback to the older albums, but then it's all new. A good bassline. Like some Beyond the Infinite tracks, there are some spoken phrases, which all work pretty well and are not distracting. The Sky is Blue/Black has the most "lyrics" since the JR album which won't be named, but it's more like William Shatner lyrics (spoken not sung) supporting the music itself. Its restrained. My personal favorite is Voyager , which has a killer deep house bassline (sort of the low deep and low pass effect bass). The album cools down at the end on the last track, letting you down from the last minutes easy but still excellent and one of the more excellent mellow Juno tracks. Sonically, every track has perfect production value - the bass is deep, tight, and perfect. The balance of melody or highs to the rhythm and bass is spot on. I cranked this up pretty loud on its first play on my house stereo and it rocked and nothing was over or under-done. If you're a big Juno fan, I'd say this is in the top . Nothing tops Bible of Dreams for pure creativity. My personal nd could now be THIS album because it has creative new sounds, keeps moving, and there is not a track I don't like. I can't even say that for Bible ( tracks not my cup of teaberry ice cream). Shango probably rd now. Yes Mutant Theater is that good.
