1. Everything they do is great - My first introduction to TBM was hearing "Two Hearts" on Pandora. Since then, I have discovered that literally every album they have ever put out is great. Pins and Needles has some of my all-time favorite TBM tracks (Sideways, In the Dark, Pins and Needles), and it will always have a special place in my heart for being my introduction to my favorite band.

2. Pretty spookily beautiful - I found the Birthday Massacre way back when on Audiogalaxy looking for a Deadsy song. I’ve gotten to see TBM only once live and it was one of the best shows ever. The sound is definitive…melodic, spooky, and simply identifiable. This is one band that is under the radar that has stuck with what they do best: be themselves, fans love it all. Underrated? For sure. True to what they do? Hands down. You don’t get that a lot with music anymore. Anyone who becomes a fan should consider themselves lucky.

3. Album made me a true follower - I found this band on the front page of someone's profile online while curious for new music. I liked some of the band previous albums, but this album is so beautiful and deep. I bought the entire thing in a heartbeat, and ever since I've been a TBM fan. Would recommend to everyone.

4. nothing truly new...but if its not broke... - this is an excellent album, probably their best to date. heavier guitars feature more prominently than on their other albums, but make no mistake-they still sound like TBM. gothic influences, s synth-pop, shades of industrial music, and a healthy dash of vintage danny elfman blend to create something that feels surprisingly unique and never derivative.
the songs are catchy, truly beautiful at times, and sound like a sonic representation of the night sky, with singer Chibi's clear girl-woman vocals running through that cold starry night like a warm air current.
there may be slightly less variation on this album than on 'walking with strangers', but that only adds to the sense of the album being a dense contiguous sonic whole. production on this album seems just a touch more sophisticated than on the previous album as well. stylistically and musically, its not really anything new if you are already familiar with their work; but the skill with which they weave interesting variations on a basic set of premises is more than enough to sustain attention. instead of a departure, its more like a further maturing and refinement of their sound. perhaps the highest compliment i can give is that unlike so many bands works, this album lacks 'throwaway' songs that you have to skip through, making it well worth it to purchase the entire album. after hearing this i was left more confused than ever why this band isn't more well-known. its just as catchy, if not more so than what you'll hear on the radio, and a hell of a lot more unique and interesting.

5. TBM creates a dark masterpiece, yet still so very fun - The album is heavier for TBM which I love, and they do it without losing their synths they always use. With more guitar and just as heavy in synths this is such a good CD it's hard to dislike it. The first one I heard from the CD was In The Dark which I love. It reminds me of Red Stars sort of. Always is a good one. It comes really good after In The Dark. It stands out to me. Control and Pale are really good also. I gave them a couple listens and they are some of my favorites off the album. Shallow Grave is a fun one that reminds me of Falling Down or Remember Me from their CD Walking With Strangers. Sideways. Chibi's vocals astounded me when I first heard it. I've never heard her better. Midnight may not be my absolute favorite but the chorus is really good. I like the lyrics here in this one. Pins And Needles had me iffy when I heard the name but I gave it one of the many listens and I rate it five stars. It's one of my favorites on this CD too. TBM hardly ever disappoints. Two Hearts, besides In The Dark, is my favorite on the CD as well. I think the chorus is really beautiful and so is the title. If you buy any song on here and you want rock with soft notes I would get this one. Sleepwalking is definitely reminding me of Weekend and it's a really fun one too. I personally really like this one. Secret is kind of a slower song, more of a power ballad like Movie was on the last album. it's soft and it's not my favorite but it's beautiful too. I never really like ballads but this one is sweet. The chorus is stunning. There definitely was a gap between this and the last album but they took their time and it sounded great. And in the meantime they released the Looking Glass EP. Between CDs the sound changed in a good way and really not by too much either. They have a much heavier sound here but they don't fail on the synths which is amazing. I say this album is really good and I wouldn't hesitate to buy it. Don't just pick one song cause I say buy it all.

6. Dark, Wonderful, and Back Again - This is one of the highest charting album The Birthday Massacre has up to this date. It's a wonderful album full of skillfully synthesized music along with heavy guitars. I honestly cannot recommend this album more. Chibi's voice along with Rainbow's composing skills put together the ultimate combination. Even though The Birthday Massacre is a relatively small band, they easily hit home with this album. It's a MUST-have. GET IT NOW.

7. Geniuses in black. - This band is known for cranking out great lyrics, hooks and melodies left and right. Featuring 's inspired synth pop melted with guitar grinding rock, every song is held together by singer Chibi's crystal-clear voice. While some of the vocals are not as up-front and clear as in the previous albums (I had to look up the lyrics for some of the songs), the whole package meets the already high standards set by the band. You will wear out your iPod playing this music!

1. Excellence - I am so happy I came across their music back in . Every album is worth every penny. It is one of two bands that I have pledged money to and would gladly do so every time. I got to meet them in Corpus Christi last year and they are wonderful people also. Thank you TBM for your talent. Chibi - you have the voice of an angel

1. Proof that TBM was always great - The remastered Imagica tracks prove that TBM has been amazing since the very beginning. It is fun to see how more familiar tracks (Happy Birthday, Play Dead, Remember Me) have evolved in their later albums. Also a great introduction to fantastic tracks that deserve an update and re-recording a la Violet re Nothing and Nowehere tracks -- in particular Night Time and Dead.

2. Lovely Also, to some of the confused people - This is NOT new material by the band. These are demos that were recorded from track cassette tapes when they were originally called Imagica. I understand that some people are disappointed that these songs don't sound as good as other redone songs like Remember Me and To Die For, but that's because those songs were actually re-recorded. These songs are just remastered. They didn't have time to re-record all of these songs because they're in the process of making an entirely new album :)

3. Not as good as other remastered versions. - I've been a fan of TBM since Pins and Needles, bought all their previous albums and all the albums forward. The released demos are amazing. I love having officially recorded versions of Queen of Hearts and Night Time for example. However, I am a bit disappointed in the remade versions of old songs. They've done this in the past and I ended up loving both versions, but here these were very lackluster. It seems they're letting go of some of their heavier rock vibes and developing more synth vibes, I hope the actual album itself sounds a bit better. Overall happy to get the demo tracks officially recorded though! I recommend them.

1. I wish i could...... - ....but i cant. i cant stomach this incantation of what used to be an amaziing band. Truth be told, its been hit and miss for me ever since Nooten and Anka left..... This album seems like its from a completely different band..... and really , Moorings is the only original member, thus, i have always enjoyed a bit of this and a bit of that. This album removes almost all contact with the original four albums, the albums that are some of the most amazing albums ive ever heard. To each their own, but this is a huge pass for me. And, im sad about that.

1. A Necessary Album - Coming from The Dead Boys, Stiv Bator created an amazing sound with The Lords of the New Church, and this album was one of THE albums to own if you were a goth in the early ‘s. Even though this is clearly an East Coast goth sound, there is clear overlap with the Batcave strain of goth music Open Your Eyes had regular rotation on MTV because of its visual imagery, and its message is fundamentally anti-establishment goth music at its finest. Holy War had regular rotation on the local college radio station back then; Portobello is a frenetic ear worm of a song that is a hybrid of styles; Apocalypso and Little Boys Playing With Dolls may well be the hidden gems on this list. All in all, Bator is one of the seminal figures of American East Coast goth, and LotNC’s first album is vital to a serious collection.

1. Timeline - I have been a fan since the begining and through all incarnations including "Xymos" and this is a as fresh as anything they have produced yet happily harkens back to the sound of their origins. A winning formula to combine both and stay clear of overly produced harsh and industrial influences. Very consistent and for me at least, influential band-and quite underrated.

1. Love Lux&Poison Ivy, however, look elsewhere. - The Cramps in their prime were incredible, however, this particular recording is not great. Just listen to "LIVE" at the Peppermint Lounge if you want a GREAT "live" recording.. Also when the line up includes a Bass player . not so good. The later line up of gang members just was not up to what was a certain incredible wall of sound they possessed with Nick Knox on Drums, Kid Congo Powers on ed guitar trading licks with Poison Ivy..(No Bass player needed) Younger kids who don't know any better might not notice or care.. But to a year Cramps fan and record collector this particular digital recording or download does not cut the mustard. IMHO, Keep looking ...and RIP Lux.

1. Gorgeous journey to the Shadowlands! - The Underliving truly is a wonderful way to escape to the inner creative mind. I am an artist and I am always on the search to find music to become the soundtrack while I work in my studio. The Underliving has been on constant play since I have received it from the artist herself. If you can, I would highly recommend buying the physical CD from Priscilla Hernandez's site. The CD artwork is beautifully evocative of the music and the creator herself. The music is ethereal, yet has emotional depth. I love Priscilla's earlier recording, Ancient Shadows, but The Underliving is even more richly dense in maturity and tone. Kudos. I am positive I will enjoy The Underliving for many listens!

1. Hmmm - I am a hardcore fan. I buy every album, single, etc. I'm not a huge fan of this one. While the music sounds good the vocal melody doesn't excite me. I know artists have to go with what they feel regarding songwriting, but I'm hoping eventually for a return to more guitar based music from Ronny. I bought this without hearing first...as usual. I never want to make a judgement of a song based on a short sample clip. Maybe it will grow on me.

1. Experimental, like the old Qntal - After albums, what can Qntal do that they haven't done before? The answer: melding their matured style with the edgy experimentation of their early days. This can be seen in the the opener, Nachtblume, which starts with a simple folk tune and then interjects some synth heavy dance segments. Sometimes pushing the envelope backfires, like on the second track that replaces Syrah's familiar voice with harsh and eerie male vocals. On the other hand, some tracks are pure artistic genius. It's not my favorite Qntal, but I respect that their creativity is still alive and well.

1. Awesome but dissatisfied - I am glad to have found this band, and I love the song Flieg mit mir. Sadly the quality iTunes has set the entire album to is unsatisfactory. I know I will not find this album anywhere in stores and ended up buying the song I wanted anyway despite the poor quality. Come on, show a little respect for this great band!

2. Loud, dark, heavy, excellent! - Great album, great potential, love the German sound; just very upset that apple has all their music set to a horribly low kbps... quality sounds like its from a very old cassette tape that was played too much and left in the sun. Band is great though. Come on apple, get your act together.

1. A Spooky Thrill Ride - This is an album that compels you to listen to it in entirety. On repeat. For days. Erik Gustafson, a current member of Volt and original member of Therion, is the front man for Adoration Destroyed. His performance is convincing and chilling, invoking the same feelings in me as when I first discovered Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson, Stabbing Westward, Gravity Kills, Fear Factory, and other similar EBM/Industrial powerhouses. The strong beats, the spooky synths, the haunting lyrics - all come together to build a strong debut album for Adoration Destroyed. It's dark and comfortingly familiar. It's hard to choose a favorite track on this album. The cover of Marilyn Manson's "Coma White" is a nostalgic tribute and is a must-listen for Manson fans. The collaboration with Cynical Existence on "Nothing Left" makes that track stand out to me as well. The chorus on "In Elegant Decay" will stick with you. But, I think my favorite track has to be "Voices Carry." This track gets stuck in my head so much that I've woken up twice now with the song playing in my mind. "Voices Carry" reminds me of Fear Factory's more melodic songs. Preview the songs, look the band up on Facebook/Sound Cloud/Youtube, and listen to all you can. If you fall in love with the music like I did, then buy the album and listen to it in all of its glory. And put the album on repeat. Disclosure: I know Erik, but I paid for the album with my own money and this review reflects only my own views. I may be biased, so that's why I recommend first listening to all you can for free so you can decide for yourself. The music itself can convince you to buy this album better than my words.
