Our flagship daily news show, where we talk to in-house experts about what is going on and why you need to care about it.

1. Absolutely essential - A crisp and informative show. No nonsense, just plain old reporting done right. Their deep dives into hot topics are so well researched and presented. Shashank and Snigdha have become a part of my daily routine. Logged into Apple podcasts just to leave a star review as the app on which I hear podcasts does not allow me to rate. They deserve a lot of praise for this show. Good job guys.
2022-01-20
2. Amazing news podcast - Amazing in terms of quality, clarity, neutrality of current affairs and what’s going on around. Shashank and Snigda are doing fantastic job. Neha is certainly missed. The experts no doubt bring in lots of information about each topic. Keep up good work. Some areas to improve would be native pronunciation while referring regional names and stuff. Also reporters from states of his/her origin would be better which is in some cases and in others, not. This helps in reporters understanding the local pulse.
2021-10-24
3. Good Show - I have started listening for a couple of weeks now and like the breadth and issues being covered though may not agree with the views. I am sure that everyone will look forward to a media that is unbiased and will include both the achievements and failings and offer suggestions based on the ground realities. Thanks to all of you for bringing news and podcasts to keep us all updated even in the midst of the pandemic. All of you are also a part of our frontline warriors and our salutes and wishes for the safety and well-being of you and your families
2020-05-23
4. Quality over quantity - things has been a great find for me. They go into detail about some hand picked stories that are worth sharing over a wide range of subjects, although with a slight centre left bias. My only gripe with the show is that there’s only one topic discussed everyday. If they could expand this to a minute show discussing two or three topics, that’d be great!

A podcast from The Hindu that delves deep into current developments with subject experts, and brings in context, history, perspective and analysis.

Every Tuesday and Friday, tech journalist Kara Swisher and NYU Professor Scott Galloway offer sharp, unfiltered insights into the biggest stories in tech, business, and politics. They make bold predictions, pick winners and losers, and bicker and banter like no one else. After all, with great power comes great scrutiny. From New York Magazine and the Vox Media Podcast Network.
release date: 2023-03-28
1. Insightful, informative and just plain interesting - What hooked me to this weekly (now twice) tech update was the no-holds barred style, these two will say exactly what they feel without any sugar coating. Scott’s perspectives and his ability to connect dots is testament to his breadth of experience and his depth of industry knowledge. The time I spend listening to Pivot is precious and I something I look forward to. Lots of respect to you guys. The music could use a little work though :)

2. Angry middle aged white man - Scott G what a fall from grace... he sounds so full of himself a left wing version of trump.... Angry old
White man full of himself. Kara since the time she’s moved to NYT the entire Pod is Scoot G agreeing with Kara no pushback of options which he does not agree with....

3. The equivalent of Unputdownable - What started off as something I listened in to , under duress on a driving holiday with my son earlier this year, has ended up becoming one of most favourite podcasts. The banter, the slick and to point analysis, of businesses that the world wants to keep track of( I’m in India) makes me come back diligently everyday week.

It’s On. Get to the heart of what makes powerful people tick — in interviews that have them sit back, relax and get grilled. Twice a week, Kara Swisher and her executive producer Nayeema Raza invite a guest to be “On with Kara Swisher.” So why do newsmakers show up? “Smart people,” says Kara, “like difficult questions.” They may even find it fun. Mondays and Thursdays from New York Magazine and the Vox Media Podcast Network.

1. Very engaging - I read articles on the New Yorker website and binge on the cartoons quite often. This was a delight to come across. I'm reading less and less and listening more often these days. I'm glad to find the audio extension of New Yorker. I particularly liked the stories of family of children and finding the lost father. Keep them coming!

On the Contrary by IDR is an award-winning show about listening to people not like us. In every episode, the host chats with guests as they share their diverse experiences, perspectives, and expertise on an issue—water security, gender, climate change, caste, mental health, and more. The goal is to get people to explore their similarities and differences, and find a new, shared understanding. New episode out every Wednesday.

1. Kudos to the topics covered so far. - I like where this is headed, but there are a few things about the format of conversations that can be improved in my opinion. So here is something I observed as a listener, I felt a lack of flow in the interviews, it should have felt more like a spontaneous conversation but instead it goes off and feels flat at times. And transitions from guest and interviewer are not transparent. Other than that, it feels like a breath of fresh air in this hocus-pocus self care and "ignorance is bliss" scenario that the world is in right now.
2021-06-08
2. Amazing content on issues that matter - If makes me feel good having worked in development sector for more than years that for reading on issues I was not getting any particular platform but IDR covers many important aspects of the social sector and collaborators are contributing at large to the platform . This new initiative of bringing the voice of experts through a podcast is also an welcome step .
2021-05-18
3. Relevant and informative - Thank you for curating this! I appreciate the choice of interviewees: people with a well-established connection to the topic under discussion, who offer insights that cannot be covered in short or factual reporting. Appreciate the interviewer's effective summaries and the way he drives the discussion as well. A suggestion: for future episodes on topics such as caste, perhaps ask more relevant questions (or have a more appropriate interviewer). Looking forward to the next episode!
2021-04-28
4. Excellent and informative - Thoroughly enjoy listening to On the Contrary - not only are the episodes extremely informative but I also love the contrarian viewpoints. It’s a rare thing in today’s world to listen to actual experts speak and debate about topics that concern all of us. Highly recommended!
2021-04-07
5. The idea of duality and divergence - The fact that you are able to get specialists with different backgrounds ergo views makes it for an interesting and more pleasurable debate. Mr Maira as the sutradhar does a good avuncular job of summarising and gently nudging the panellists to go deeper into their arguments.
A must read if you appreciate neutrality and want to have an unbiased view to whats happening to the human world around you.

1. Rich and white - Do enjoy some of the spirit of Airmail/ Graydon that is so evident in each episode of the pod. I can’t for the life of me bear Ashley and wish Michael were in conversation with someone else. I don’t think people like her realise how spoilt, arrogant (but mainly ignorant) and entitled they sound (and likely are). Michael is wonderful and the antidote to the Karen vibe she exudes, so thanks Michael!

1. Good content, presentation can be better - I really enjoy the topics and guests. Very educative and informative. The one area I feel this could really improve in the presentation style - given it’s an audio medium it’s imperative the host is articulate and professional sounding. Most of the hosts that I have listened to sound like year old learning to read. A tweak on that will make this just great.
