1. Nothing short of the BEST magician! - Rahman outshines his last masterpiece yet again - this guy is a true master magician! I have particularly enjoyed his use of jazz undertones in songs like "Adiye" in this album, and "Aaromale" in Vinnathaandi Varuvaayaa. I love the wide range of sounds he uses to construct the melody of the song, typically complemented with equally binding background singers. Totally blissful.

2. Elay Keechan is an earworm - (Disclosure: I don't speak Tamil so I can only comment on the music.) Really enjoyed Elay Keenchan, Chithirai Nela and Nenjukulle. However, the MTV Unplugged version of Nenjukulle is much nicer. The thudding beat on the soundtrack album takes away from the melody and flow of the song. Sometimes simpler is better. Nice to see A R Rahman back in form after the disastrous Jab Tak Hai Jaan - seriously, did he just phone that one in. Here's looking forward to some more great music.

3. Masterpiece is its every possible sense - This one is for keeps. I can see myself getting lost in this album years from now. Such is the timeless quality of music in this album. Don't get me wrong, while Rahman is an undoubted genius however there are a few albums that have proven to be ok/good/great/really great. This is one, I believe is sublime and one of the greatest pieces of music he has made this far.

1. Disappointing - Here is an honest review from a hardcore ARR fan!! There used to be days when you wait like you would die if you don't get the first copy to listen to an album from ARR sir. After Roja, I used to go through every newspaper and hoardings just to see "Music by A R Rahman" even without even bothering to see the movie title. During s there were no internet or smartphones. After Gentleman, there was a magic with the Music when Shankar sir was directing a movie. Then we waited for Kadhalan Cassette. Each and every track with the first listen of Urvassi, Ennavalle, Kollayile, Pettaitap.. And we still know what was on the A-Side and B-Side of cassette cause the Music used to pull us so close to it and we never forget. Then there was no stopping.. Indian, Jeans, Boys etc!! The only track I might listen again would be Haricharan Sesh 's Track called Pookkale Sattru.. Am writing this cause am a die hard fan of Sir's Music !! You guys listen to all tracks and let me know if you still feel that Magic!!

1. songs made me buy all the songs - Netru aval irundhal will always remain in our hearts . A timeless classic Yenga pona rasa. Westernized Tamil folk. Kudos to Shaktishree. A perfect duet in Innum konjam neram. Africa and nenje eZhu are good but not unique. I would not bother rating sonapaariya and kadal rasa as they are really mediocre ones for a fan of Rahman's music like me

2. The Master does it again! - Trust on Rahman keeps getting satisfied day in day out whenever his albums release.... This time, he impresses on first listen itself unlike his usual "take time to get used". Kadal Raasa is a crowd favorite and so it is with me, but the best ones of the album are undoubtedly "Innum Konjam Neram", "Naetru Aval" and "Enga Pona Raasa". Esp. "Enga Pona Raasa" is so painful and touching that you drown into the song deep and end up with a heavy heart.... With music like this, the director has the toughest job on hand to visualize them. To me, better than Rahman's last "Kadal" which was a masterpiece in itself. Rahman has changed the landscape of Indian film music, and his experiments are defining. Time will confirm it!

1. AR Rahman strikes again! - I am not even sure which Dravidian language this is, but I have never heard more melodious tunes elsewhere. Omana Penne is sung very well, you lose yourself in Dayal's beautiful voice and suddenly Menon's verse brings you back to earth. Hosanna is very appealing to the ears as well. All I need now is to find the translated lyrics to REALLY appreciate the magic!

2. One of the best from Rahman in recent times - Masterpiece album! Dont go by initial hearings (i.e. if you dont like it at the start). Rahman's songs are the kind that slowly catch up on you but they will never let go of you for a very long time. "Omana Penne" is sung so well by Benny Dayal with the sweet voice of Kalyani Menon. Hosanaa is the eternal feel good song that makes you dance and jump in delight, Manippaya is such an emotional melody that you could possibly get tears, Shreya Goshal and ARR render is superbly. Kannukkul Kannai and Anbil Avan are good lively tracks that elevate your mood, Vinnaithandi Varuvaaya is like a song that you would enliven your dreams. But the best is reserved for the last! 'Aaromale' is just MASTERCLASS! Alphonse voice, his range is just exceptional. And Rahman decides to make a major experimental by trying a Blues kind of track in Tamil with Aaromale and succeeds spectacularly. Best of the album is a Malayalam song and this song will be celebrated for years to come!

1. Brilliant !!! - Stunning melodies and brilliant orchestration. If u are a true Rahmaniac head over and buy the Hindi version too. IMHO it is better mixed and mastered. And has some subtle but beautiful changes too !!! Worth the extra buy. But u will be missing SPB, Haricharan, Srinivas and Chinmayi if u don't buy the Tamil version.

2. Great Album! - My review of Kochadaiiyaan Audio: Overall rating: ./. Its a great musical. As a music lover, I like it. I wasn't impressed in the first hearing! May I liked it as I continued to listen! (Typical of AR Rahman)! However, I am a little disappointed as a Rajinikanth fan! Overall, the energy level of the album is very low. For a Rajini movie, you need fast beats and high energy songs! I felt Kochadaiiyaan album is a tad slow! Hopefully the movie will make up for it! Highlights: Enge Pogutho Vaanam Idhayam Good melodies: Mana penning sathyam Mana maganin sathyam Medhuvagathaan Disappointed with: Kochadaiiyaan engal Kochadaiiyaan Karma Veeran I now hope the movie will make up for this slow music.

1. What if ARR time-traveled to 's ? - A Maniratnam-ARR combo is a treat for the ages. There is a 's feel to the entire album with an intentional effort to give importance to the melody & vocals and the rhythm accompanying them than just the instruments dominating the song. Jugni - techno-trance beauty. Nallai Allai - Pure vocals magic Vaan Varuvan - Warms you gently like a lullaby Azhagiye - Playful, fun song reminding you of your college days Sarattu Vandiyile- Slow folk beat Tango Kelayo - Vintage 's song with Rahman signature fusion(prelude from Rockstar which is bit disappointing as you expect a full original for Mani-ARR but then as the song progresses you realize it has its own unique signature as well). Overall, an album that doesn't try to scream loud "I am here" but swarms you gently reminding of an era gone by. I am sure after watching the movie, these songs will be even more impactful.

1. Another Masterpiece from ARR! - This album is a proof that A.R.Rahman Sir is always the undisputed King of Music! An album where the songs fight among themselves to prove they are the best :) I love that Rahman Sir has used Pavendhar Bharathidhasan’s words in Avalum Naanum and old Tamizh Literature in Rasaali. Thamarai has done a great job with lyrics in Thalli Pogathey and Rasaali. Madan Karky in his usual style in Idhu Naal. Showkali is terrifc!! To put it better in Tamizh, rap la therikka vitrukanga \m/ Thalli Pogathey by Sid has created history. 1. Great Album, Messed Up Movie - The songs of this album are great! Really well done and fun. But if you see the movie it is just a tragedy and weird, and leave you feeling depressed. Recently the Tamil movie industry has gotten into a bad and weird habit involving suicide, death, and sorrow. But over all great songs :)

1. One Hit Wonder - Surely the expectations were high after the immensely successful album of this combination in Ayan. But KV Anand has faultered in settling to typical sounds of harris rather experimenting with him this time. Ennamo Yeadho thumps the whole album as one hit wonder. The song is melliflous from the word go. Harris Jayarajs arrangements on this track is exceptional. The experimental attempt is completely visible and Alaap Raju does wonders with his vocal chords. Only if KV sir had put Harris to work on the other songs hope harris would have made it breathtaking rather painstakingly reusing old stuff. Yet the rest are audible for a while with that sugar coating on top of old stuff. Its high time mr.jayaraj comes out of this bubble.

1. Thumbs down to singam - I was expecting better music devi sri prasad, villu was great for devi sri prasad, but this was junk. I saw this movie on opening day and minitues after the movie started i was the only one in the theatre. I would reccomend listening to these songs and destroying your eardrums, and dont watch this movie if you dont want to die of boredom
