1. It is not a joke, of course. - Swedish is my language too and the phrases in the first lesson/video are not strange. They may seem strange to a native speaker, as to Gamle man, but are in fact very common. If you would try and learn a completely new language yourself, you'd know what I mean. The way the voice actors are pronouncing words are exaggerated thou for the sake of comprehension and ease. It's perhaps not perfect but useful.

But can start to get annoying after a while as the author uses always the same approach in pretending not to know certain words or grammatical points. e.g. mmmmm Daaaaaaaaaaas Beeeeeeeeeeett iiiiiis iiiiit? I think that the flow of the lesson would be much nicer if he just replied in a normal way. :)

2. An amazing podcast to improve your Spanish! - During the last year I have been listening to basically all of the Español con Juan podcasts and they have helped me a lot! He speaks about a range of different everyday subjects in a Spanish that is very easy on the ear. He is also very fun to listen to! Lately Juan started to make more historical/cultural epoisodes that teaches you about content that every spanish student needs to have some knowledge of.
