The best radio show in town! - Anyone else felt the parallel between the rebellion of kids who stole helicopters and read books, and the climate strikes currently happening in the real world, lead by kids? And how the fictional kids failed to save Nightvale because the rest of the town, the adults, wouldn’t help, wouldn’t do anything, just stood there and watched? And fear the possibility of that very same thing happening with the climate strikes? Please, adults, help, do something. Don’t be merely witnesses. Don’t be the ones who let Nightvale fall into the hands of an evil corporation.

2. Otrolig underhållning - Red. Betyget åker ner till tre stjärnor. Det har ingenting med kvaliteten att göra. Problemet för mig, och även andra jag pratat med, är att det är en tung följetong. Det finns en komplex och snårig handling man måste följa och det är inte nådigt om man kommer efter. Intressant att jag skrev att det var det bästa från Twin Peaks och Twilight Zone. Vid det här laget skulle jag säga det värsta, det pretentiösa och snacket som aldrig tar slut. Jag föredrar något mer lättsmält. Det finns podcast och det finns podcast. Jag har lyssnat på dom i mer än tio år. Welcome to Night Vale är bland det bästa inom underhållning. Den är som en blandning av Twilight Zone, Twin Peaks och ja, Fallout. Alltså skräck, sci-fi och drama. Och som dom tre nämnda serierna blandar den in humor, ibland lättsamt, ibland sätter sig skrattet i halsen. Cecil Baldwin är helt perfekt med sin vackra sammetslena röst, inställsam och farbroderlig. Han vill väl men eftersom det är Night Vale så är även han en del av pusslet i denna skymningsstad... Medborgare! Ifrågasätt inte!

Här finns en civilisation under bowlinghallens golv, och den har förklarat krig mot människorna på ytan. Här finns en femhövdad drake med politiska ambitioner, och en svävande katt i badrummet. Men det finns definitivt inga änglar. Änglar finns inte på riktigt. Bisarrt, obehagligt, humoristiskt och oväntat engagerande, för de som gillar spökhistorier, dystopiska diktaturer, och djupa filosofiska funderingar.

1. This review probably won't help much, but the podcast is amazing - I've sat here for some ten minutes trying to figure out how to describe Within the Wires, and I can't quite make sense of it all. So here's what you need to know: it's great. The narrative is brilliant. The world is revealed slowly, in a really clever way. The characters are beautifully portrayed. The story is the bees' knees (so many bees, y'all. And all of their knees). Just...just listen to it, alright. You'll love it. Or maybe you won't. That's ok too.
