1. Not even scary. - It’s not even remotely scary. And the whole basic premise is rather silly (people coming back, intelligent, communicating and empathic ghosts, a guy representing every aspect of the city, passionate city hall debates and obsolete licensing statutes). The love story between the two women is cringe worthy (what with their clichéed sleigh ride and their ”moments”). The sound part of the production is really good, though. And the daughter is quite cool (working undercover as a waitress in an odd restaurant).

1. Beyond compare - This podcast is no doubt the perfection of its genre. Soren Narnia can make ANYTHING scary. The intense but calm narration, the sensation of suppressed dread and most of all: the subtle details describing pure terror without the excessive or forced “insert scary content here.” Genuine horror don’t need to shout, it takes control only by a whisper.

2. Excellent horror! - I have listened to these for I dont know how many times. They always leave you with a sense of... uncanny. Dread. The works are written and presented (mostly) by the author himself. New stories are posted randomly, which makes you appreciate them yet even more. Couldn’t recommend enough!

3. Deserves more exposure - While the author posts sparsely and infrequently it’s about the quality not the quantity. Even if he would put out one story a year it would be worth the wait. He also has a very pleasing voice - also the few guest readings of Dennis Smith and Peter Yearsley. I listen to his stories every night when I go to sleep.

Not only does he read his creations with a great sense of storytelling - Soren writes stories that are as horrifying as they are beautiful. It’s the small things, the details, that build up and creates tales that linger within you for a long time. “Possession” has stuck with me for years it feels like. I hope this podcast never dies.

1. Brilliantly chilling and immersive horror - I love The White Vault. I’ve listened to it all the way through five times, and I throw myself into every new episode. It is gripping, terrifying, completely immersive and filled with unexpected twists and turns. This is a feat in itself as it is so sparse and focused when it comes to setting and characters. 1. – Did you ever find her body? – She found us. - His dad went missing years ago in the haunted wilderness of the Bridgewater Triangle—and now things are stirring again. A traditional creepy feelgood mystery where you just want to know what happens next. Misha Collins, Hillary Burton Morgan, Nathan Fillion, Wil Wheaton and the other actors do a wonderful job and really make me care about the characters. The audio is SO listen-friendly. Clear diction, crisp recording— I can hear every syllable, and I’m not a native English speaker and sometimes struggle with this. The audio level is even, and ambient sounds and music never drown out the all-important dialogue. The music is lovely though and really provides a sense of creepiness and foreboding when it’s due. Such a pleasure to listen to! Now I want to know what happens next!
