1. Bom livro, interessante... - O livro é interessante, assim como outros do gênero aventura... O autor escreve de forma clara, acessível. Todavia, dedica-se pouco a falar sobre a escalada propriamente dita. Desta forma, não podemos considerar o livro como sendo um livro de alpinismo, ou montanhismo. Por outro lado, retrata uma África pouco conhecida, muito distante das senhas turísticas... Esse é o grande trunfo do autor, Viajar por conta própria, descobrir e compartilhar o que não consta nos livros turísticos, trazer o leitor a acompanhá-lo desde o desembarque na África do Sul até o cume do Kilimanjaro.
